Chowrastha - Indian Eatery

"A place that had been generating quite a buzz in the local community. Unfortunately, my experience left me underwhelmed. To begin, the hype surrounding this establishment suggested an extraordinary culinary adventure. However, the reality fell short of expectations. The menu boasted an enticing array of options, but the execution failed to impress. The lack of creativity and flavor in the dishes left much to be desired. The service, while pleasant and attentive, did little to enhance the overall experience. Our server seemed disinterested and failed to provide recommendations or any insight into the menu's offerings. Additionally, the timing of the food delivery was inconsistent and resulted in an extended, frustrating wait. The atmosphere within the restaurant was lively. One of the most significant disappointments was the pricing. While the prices were relatively high, the portion sizes were disappointingly small, leaving me feeling unsatisfied both aesthetically and gastronomically. In light of this, the value for money was significantly diminished, and I found myself questioning the worthiness of the experience."

"It’s a typical Indian street food kind of restaurant. Everything you order is given for to go, they do provide plates and cutlery that you can use to eat on the premises. We tried the following dishes on their menu. Pani Puri - 8/10 (it’s was pretty good and they provide live experience which was great) Cut mirchi - 8/10 (tasted good but missing a little kick but over all not bad) Bonda - 6/10 (we thought these were stuffed but they are just large fried balls also know as punugulu- oily but the chutneys were really good) Guthi Venkaya Biryani - I0/10 (very good flavors must try) Burnt garlic Hakka noodles - 4/10 (no flavor and very bland - terrible, I gave 4 for noodles texture and consistency but I wouldn’t order this) Dragon Cauliflower - 6.5/10 (it was crispy and the flavors were ok but too salty)"

"Excellent food and service. Their chicken dhaba style curry with bagara rice is delicious, perfectly cooked and gives a Homestyle aroma. Chole is creamy and delicious too. Most of their snacks are well done. Tea is like authentic Irani chai. Good staff. Good service. Neatly maintained. Local style."

"Food was delicious! I got the Indian wok chicken fried rice and it was really yummy. The somasas weren’t the best I’ve had, they had alittle too much garam masala for me. My husband got palak paneer and chili paneer and he was happy with both! The restaurant had a lot of people, it’s not really a sit and serve place it’s a order at the counter and eat your food at a table kinda place but I don’t really mind that, the food was delicious and that’s the most important thing in my opinion."
