"Affordable and spacious apartments in a good location. Does not have the newest of appliances (or a washer & dryer but they have hookups) but other than that we haven’t had any significant problems living here. Maintenance has always been friendly and helpful the few times we did put in a request."

"Its a decent place to live and great for family's. I've never had any issues with getting timely maintenance. On the other hand, it's a bit overpriced for how outdated and patched up everything is. Our rent is comparable to much newer apartments with nicer interior."

"If you want to spend $1700 a month to live in 1983...this is the place!! Enjoy mold in the air ducts, 40 yr old appliances, and a furnace that sounds like it's taking off every time it goes on. The smoke alarm works great when the oven is in use, expect to fan the heat away to get it to stop beeping. There's a pool that's rarely open and also in need of an update, a clubhouse you can't use, and a filthy laundromat that is never cleaned. For all these lovely amenities, you can expect an increase of $120 every year at lease renewal. But the best part is after 3 yrs, when you max out your income level, they will notify you that your Lease is NOT being renewed and make you Homeless! Stay away!!! In response to Peppertree's reply...they were reported. Maintenance cleaned and repainted the vent...the mold returned. The only vent ever cleaned 1x was the dryer vent...no other professional duct cleaner in the 3 yrs while I resided there. The furnace is old, the location of the smoke detector I was told could not be changed. As far as my new home...you did not renew my lease and I am currently Homeless due to the the amount of rental increases during my stay. What you are doing kicking hardworking people out of apartments for Greed is disgusting. This has been reported to the State of VA housing authority and I am working with the Governor's office to put a stop to it. Using FHA loans to re-mortgage and then putting people on the street should have ramifications."

"Our heat went out just before Christmas last year, when the lows were 7 to 10 degrees. The management responded well. They employed a contractor to replace the HVAC system. They also provided enough space heaters to get us through the weekend until it was fixed. Each room was nice and warm. Now that spring has arrived, the AC is performing just great, as well. I love my Peppertree apartment!"
