Smith's Pharmacy

"Like everyone else is saying, the drive through is open when they feel like it. This has become a habit with them. When it is open the line is 4-5 cars long. Today, I went in the a.m. and it wasn't open when it should have been. Later when I came back, had to wait for over 20 minutes in line. I think there was only one tech working both drive through and front counter. Smith's, treat your employees better and also up your tech's wages so you can get more employees in there. I'm glad after today I can use mail order pharmacy and never go there again."

"Pharmacists and pharmacy techs seem to be the most compassionate, caring people on Earth. They are a source of kindness, love, and friendship that can seldom be consistently encountered in the modern world. Although one might be taking one or more medication(s) which have been prescribed at the same monthly dose for decades, sometimes it feels like a "first come first served" thing and what one requires might not be available until a new order can come in, which can take up to 2-3 days (but more often takes less than 24 hours). That can be frustrating because Kroger Corporation (see next paragraph) limits the numbers and amounts of medications the pharmacy can have on hand. That makes the regular patients, who come in and get the same things each month, sometimes unable to get what they need because it has been dispensed to a new or one-off patient first. While investigating these issues, I've learned that almost all of the blame lies with pharmacy rules enforced by Kroger Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio, a company whose pricing and customer policies seem to deliberately put the customer last whenever possible without exception. When asked why such aggressive, illogical, and anti-consumer rules exist (which, when it comes to medications, can be directly opposed to the perpetuation of the lives of the patients who have already jumped through many aggravating hoops to at last reach the pharmacy), the company replies with excuses, either blaming other entities and claiming no faults exist within the above-reproach Kroger Corporation, or feigning ignorance, again claiming the "Kroger Family of Pharmacies" is innocent and at the mercy of the laws of other regional and national entities or some other logically fallacy or circular argument. Oh, interstate corporation Kroger, we cry for you! (NOT REALLY, but we'd be unable to cry if we tried; our blood, sweat, and tears have been reduced to levels below which our lives would cease by the many previously-mentioned figurative hoops through which we've leapt, many of them mandated by Kroger's own rules.) tl;dr: Ask to speak to the pharmacist, who will help and provide a way around the endless phone-bot-juggling to which the phone number will subject you. The pharmacist probably lives nearby and knows the local laws. That will enable the pharmacist to immediately get you what you need or enough so you won't run out before the order can come in within 24-36 hours (typical wait time, as mentioned)."

"Phone call rings for 1½ minutes and hangs up! I've called 5 times. After calling the Smith's store customer service to redirect my call to the pharmacy, it goes to voicemail. If Kroger/Smith's spent half of their money on advertising on people that would answer the phone, they may have my business. I just needed to check to see if a prescription is in stock, as there is currently a shortage."

"Wish there was an option for zero stars. We've been getting our prescriptions filled here for a long time. We've repeatedly run into issues where they will not work with our doctor to get us our medicine. And we're not talking about any sort of weird pain pill. Sort of issues. These are just antibiotics, breathing treatments, etc. They have told us many times they are not receiving the prescriptions from our doctor, but we have found out that they have received it multiple times and just won't fill it We've had to wait sometimes 3 to 4 days to get critical asthma medicine, because they've arbitrarily decided that they don't want to fill the script to us. We have pulled all of our prescriptions from them. Definitely won't go back. Be cautious if you don't have great insurance, because they will discriminate against you in getting you your prescriptions. The worst part, is their staff doesn't care. We've tried to work with them a number of times, and they just don't care."

"I used to love Smith's Pharmacy, but as soon as I needed a prescription on a monthly basis they started not having it in or would not order it. It was a constant fight to get the prescription. The pharmacist kept telling me they would make sure they had the prescription in, but every month I would be told the same thing. "We need to order your prescription in. We do not have it." I finally got sick of them making excuses for not having a prescription they promised me countless times they would have in and ready for me. I really need a pharmacy that is reliable and this pharmacy is not reliable!!!!"
