"Nice place with an outdoor deck (that we weren't offered when being seated). Service was good. Friendly and fairly quick. My brisket was dry and the sauce tasted like ketchup. So not too good. Other's said their steak and salmon were good. So if you're going, don't go for the barbecue."

"I'm mixed on this place. It was highly recommended but it's average at best. The ribs were tender and delicious. The brisket was a little overcooked but full of flavor. However the BBQ sauce is the weakest part of the whole meal. As you can see the sauce is slathered all over the ribs but it is way too vinegary. Maybe put it on the side. And the sides were cold for the whole table."

"Great atmosphere and service. We were there mid-afternoon so we only ordered appetizers but they were great. The sampler platter had several choices to pick from, all were delicious. The outdoor dining area is very nice, right on the lake with a gorgeous view of Lake Granbury. There is an old vintage sign that is a part of Granbury history. Growing up here in Granbury, the Brazos Motel was the only motel in Granbury for many years. When it was torn down, this eatery bought the sign to hang in the restaurant. I highly recommend Mesquite Pit Steaks and Bar B Q. You won't be disappointed."

"Unique menu. Fair prices. I ordered the armadillo eggs, the chicken fried bacon, and the 3/4” ribeye, medium rare. Everything was pretty dang delicious! The armadillo eggs weren’t too spicy. The chicken fried bacon was good , but it’s literally just breaded and fried bacon but hey it works. The steak was a perfect medium rare and sizable. I believe my server Adrianna and she did a great job. The strawberry moscato lemonade was aweeesome. I’m now realizing I didn’t get hot rolls with my meal which is unfortunate."

"This was by far the worst dining experience I've had in America! We waited 20 minutes just to be acknowledged by someone, there were only 2 customers when we arrived. The waiter had a bit of an attitude. The food was absolutely terrible, the best thing we had was the cornbread (not even by a little either, by a ton!) Every bit of meat any of us had was extremely dry, as well as bland and flavorless. They claim they have the best margarita's in the county, probably to entice people to drink before eating. As you would notice how terrible the food is otherwise. Went for my daughter's birthday, spent over $110 before tip. And none of us could even stomach how bad the food was, I would never recommend this place to anyone. I highly recommend that it be closed. Nobody should have to endure this terrible food ever, let alone pay top dollar for it. 10/10 will never visit again. The scenery was very nice though."
