"Used to be a 5 star, trustworthy and friendly place. New owners came and clearly only care about profit as they replaced the exceptional front staff and the last 2 times I've been for regular maintenance I've gotten the usual "upsale" pitch trying to get me to spend buckets of money on unnecessary things. Fortunately there's better places right down the street so I won't be coming back after being a loyal customer before."

"If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We’ve been going here for awhile before the new owners took over. They were the best people. They were friendly, helpful, affordable and they did great work. Now…I had to get work done and spent over $1100 and had to bring my car back 4 times bc they couldn’t do it right. Then when my car overheated, the owner came and drove my car back to the shop…overheated. This time I brought my car in today bc the antifreeze was leaking somewhere and the last time we went there they were working on the coolant and oil. My husband who know about cars, told the mechanic the overflow hose isn’t there. He said it doesn’t need one. Okay? When we got home, my husband looked at the engine and saw they didn’t put the engine cover back on. We call and they said oops…can you come in so we can put it on? First of all…our car is leaking antifreeze and you want us to drive it back? These guys have no clue what they’re doing. We found the old mechanics new business and we will go there. People were taken care of there…they treated us like family. When I called to make sure they were the same people, he remembered us. That’s how a business should be ran. I will never take my car here again. I will be bringing my business to Covington family car care in oak ridge!!!"

"I previously rated this place 5 stars, but they are under new people and all my familiar techs were gone. I went ahead and got my scheduled oil change. It was pricier than it was before, but all seemed well. Fast forward 6 weeks to my next oil change. Found my old techs at a new location closer to home. We were all aghast when they brought me into the shop to show me my oil filter from my last oil change precision had done. The plastic was still on it blocking the filter holes. The rubber gasket still brand new since it was still shrouded in plastic. They had just poked a hole big enough to screw In place and left the rest. Its a wonder my car didn't blow up since there was no way the filter was doing anything the way it was still sealed. See the pics where my tech pulled the plastic off after. Glad I found my former techs from precision had opened their own shop in oak ridge where they treat your car as if it is their own or their family members. Covington family car care. They were the techs before the new people at precision and they were what made that place and earned my business for many years. I am glad I was shown what had been done to my car on its last oil change so I know not to risk my vehicle again at the old place. I live too close on my budget's edge to have my car blown up over someone being too lazy or too rushed to take the plastic off the filter and thus negate its ability to function properly."

"I went to have my oil changed. A friend of mine had recommended it to me. She said the staff was friendly and did excellent work on her car. As a woman, I am fearful of being taken advantage of at auto shops. I noticed with all the men getting their oil changed, one of the mechanics would come in with their air filters to show them the state they were in. Asking if they want to get ahead and have them replaced or not. However, when it was my turn, the man at the desk informed me that both my engine air filter and cabin air filter were clogged. I had replaced my cabin air filter myself two weeks ago, so I knew something was off. I replaced the engine air filter not too long ago as well. I told him I could do it myself and asked for that service not to be done that day. I found it odd that they didn't bring in my air filters like they had with all the other customers. Probably, because they were not clogged. When I got home, I checked the air filters to be safe, and they were not very dirty at all. From what I can tell, the work they did replacing my drive belt and doing my oil change was well done. However, after that instance, I'm not sure how trustworthy they are. I am attaching photos of the cabin air filter they said was clogged."

"Once again I came in for a oil change and left with a bigger smile then I came in with. Nathan took care of me and my coupon for the oil change. As of now I am up to four vehicles I have brought here, some multiple times as I do a lot of traveling. Today I overheard the owner working with a customer on the phone and was very impressed. While waiting I also heard multiple interactions with customers by Nathan, all courteous, polite, and very professional. Update, took our Dodge back in after a code came up. Got it diagnosed and fixed here. 16 new plugs while she waited. And its no joke what a rats nest it is under that hood. Literally. Considering it was while she waited drive in we didn't even have a coupon of any sort this time around still was what I consider a fair price over all and done well. Now to get one of the cars in for my air service groupon and a oil change. 8/22/23 they got me in for my air service, its blowing cold again, which isnt bad considering its a 2007 with 46k miles."
