"***BEWARE THIS COMPANY***. I reserved a vehicle with Budget on Kingston Pike and upon waiting in line for over 30 minutes, I was informed that the car I reserved (mid size) was rented and all that was left was a full size pick up truck. While driving, I encountered rain and this truck was fish tailing all over the road. The back tires were completely bald and had curb rash so bad on the sides that the tire had chunks missing. This vehicle was TOTALLY UNSAFE!! Upon calling Budget in the state my work trip was in, which was over 2 1/2 hours away (one way) from where I was, I had to get a replacement vehicle and drive back the 2 1/2 hours to finish my job. After returning to Knoxville and returning the exchanged vehicle, they charged me an ADDITIONAL $336.75! I have gotten that charge taken off but only after being on the phone for quite some time. Budget didn't really seem to care that they rental an unsafe vehicle that should have never been rented and that they caused me hours of inconvenience due to the negligence of this Budget Car Rental on Kingston Pike. Please be aware that just because it's a rental, doesn't mean it is safe!"

"Never again will I rent from Budget. Had to replace the key fob battery on Day 2 at own expense. Car smoked every time we started it and notified us it needed an immediate oil change. We attempted to switch out the car in Sarasota but the woman at Budget said they didn’t have any cars and told us to go to the airport. She made no attempt to help us and said we would be charged a transfer fee. Car had over 50,000 miles on it. Made it home and dropped off immediately."
