Chat Thai

● Closed
20 Campbell Street, Haymarket NSW 2000, Australia

“The food at this restaurant is truly excellent, and I adore the delightful ambiance. The service provided is top-notch, leaving no room for complaints. Their pad thai surpasses any others I've tasted in Sydney—it's simply the best. As a fan of papaya salad, I particularly enjoyed their version with black crab and dried shrimp. However, my only minor concern is that the restaurant tends to get overcrowded, making it challenging to navigate through the narrow pathways, especially since our table was located at the very end. Apart from that small issue, everything else was perfecto!”

“Stayed down in Sydney Olympic Park yesterday and decided to have some lunch at P’Nut Street Noodles before heading to Juicy Festival and I must say it was amazing. Freshly cooked, it was very filling, lots of flavour and a fast experience. The customer service is also amazing and very friendly. If you’re ever in Olympic Park, be sure to head over here and get your needs met if you’re after Thai Street food.”

At home thai cuisine

35 Glebe Point Road, Glebe NSW 2037, Australia

“This place is my local favourite Thai and my go-to for ordering in. The food is always fresh, tasty and generous - and extremely fast! It has one of my favourite Thai dishes, the Kha Na Mhoo Grob which I can get elsewhere, but would pay at least $10 more. Definitely recommend.”

“I love it!! Great cosy Thai restaurant in Kingcross . The attention to detail was on point. Customer service by the waiter was wonderful. The pad Thai was the best that I’ve had in Sydney. It was not overwhelmingly sweet and had a barbecue sort of taste to it. The meal was very filling.”

“Visited for a group dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes! All the ingredients were fresh and the pasta and pizza sauces had much depth to it. Only thing to note is probably the loud music. It’s very difficult to hear across the table which I find a little exhausting.”

Pasta Emilia

● Closed
259 Riley Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia

“This is a neighbourhood gem that we are fortunate enough to have lived down the road from ever since it opened years ago. So it is tried & tested, & very much recommended. Quaint, rustic, charming & down to earth decor that is so easy & lovely to walk into. It’s a massive space & yet it looks so cosy. The food matches perfectly of course, and I’ve always loved that you can buy the pasta & sauces from the clever little store tucked away in the back of the restaurant (as well as online). Tonight we started with stuffed zucchini flowers, which were super yummy. Wayne had Fettuccine with Porcini Cream Sauce, which was rich & tasty. I had the most amazing Lamb Shoulder with Cauliflower & Potato Mash - so delicious & tender - just what I felt like. The best home cooked comfort food you could ever want.”

Andiamo Trattoria Chippendale

● Closed
9 Kensington Street, Chippendale NSW 2008, Australia

“This restaurant has a pleasant ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that exude a stylish vibe. Upon our request for an outside table, we were warmly welcomed. The menu offers an extensive selection of dishes, and the service was exceptional. Although I found the pasta to be lackluster, devoid of the usual pesto flavor and color, instead of having too much cream and appearing white instead of green, the waiter (a friendly Asian gentleman) was more than willing to replace it. However, since I was full from the scrumptious pizza, I declined his offer. Nonetheless, he did not charge us for the unsatisfactory dish, which was a thoughtful gesture. On the other hand, the pizza and entrées were incredibly delicious and flavorful. The pizza had an impressively thin crust that retained its shape and texture without becoming soggy or sloppy, with a crispy crust cooked to perfection. The option of ordering half-and-half was fantastic, as I wanted Margherita, and my boyfriend preferred pepperoni. The stuffed olives, a rare Italian appetiser called all'ascolana, fried olives, stuffed with cheese, were superbly prepared and cooked to perfection, especially the pumpkin Arancini. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning for the pizza.”

“Excellent location and great food. The ambience during evening hours on the weekend was rhythmic. Staff are friendly and courteous. Food options aplenty with large portions. The Jager chicken schnitzel is highly recommended. Lots to choose from drink options. Prices are above average but worth the quality and quantity.”

Atelier By Sofitel

● Closed
12 Darling Drive, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

“Came here for the buffet breakfast and it was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and greeted us so we felt welcome and comfortable. They seated us at a large table/ booth and interesting decor. Generally speaking, the whole restaurant was beautifully decorated! The food options were plentiful and staff were helpful. Because it is a buffet, it is normally a bit chaotic, but it seemed like it was quite organised and orderly. You could order eggs or an omelette to be made your way (the omelette was great) and also coffee from the table. Then, in terms of buffet food, there was the hot food like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushroom, tomato, a vegetarian pizza, hash browns; the international section with fried rice, congee and dumplings, as well as other Asian food; the waffles, pancakes and kids section; the cold meat and cheeses and fruits etc; different types of bread, muffins and pastries, etc. With all the choice, you’re bound to find something you like. I definitely enjoyed the experience here and would recommend it! Staff were lovely and food was good :)”

Zambrero Crows Nest

● Closed
84 Willoughby Road, Crows Nest NSW 2065, Australia

“I recently had the pleasure of being served by Sean and Alice at Zambrero, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, Sean and Alice greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor that made me feel welcome. Throughout my visit, Sean and Alice were polite, hardworking, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I was satisfied with my order. Sean took the time to ask me what I liked and gave me some fantastic recommendations that I never would have thought to try on my own. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and I could tell that he truly cared about making my experience at Zambrero the best it could be. What impressed me the most about Sean and Alice were their work ethic. Despite how busy the restaurant was, they remained calm, collected, and focused on the task at hand. They were able to keep up with the fast pace of the kitchen while still being attentive to their customers' needs, which is a testament to their hardworking nature. Overall, I cannot recommend Sean and Alice enough. They are an asset to the team at Zambrero, and I hope that their dedication and exceptional customer service are recognized. If you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience, be sure to ask for either Sean or Alice at Zambrero – you won't be disappointed!”

Din Tai Fung

600 Kingsway, Miranda NSW 2228, Australia

“The absolute best place I've eaten out in all of Sydney. The food here is amazing, well priced and balanced. The staff are great, they have a robot bring out your food which is always fun to watch and they have plenty of space to accommodate lots of people. Despite the wait times to get in here on busy days, it never takes too long, but even if it did, it'd be worth the wait. Cannot recommend a place to eat more than here.”

“Set back off the street in a tired and soulless mall, the shop itself provides colour, flavour and atmosphere lacking from its neighbours. Popular with the locals and Taiwanese community. We love the wonton noodle soup and steamed dumplings. But everything we have had here is delicious. Service is attentive and helpful.”
