“Beautiful restaurant with such charming decor! Definitely dine in the back where there's a view of the garden/courtyard. The food was delicious - fresh and flavourful dishes. The seafood pancake had the best seafood to batter ratio - lots of seafood/veggies just held together by the pancake. The drinks menu was also interesting (for someone unfamiliar with traditional Korean drinks). Loved the cinnamon drink with its intense flavour. The service was also exceptionally friendly, welcoming us in with warm smiles. Would definitely love to come back next time we're in Canberra.”

“Authentic Sichuan food so be prepared for the spice and chilli! The food here is beautiful and crisp. Quite a variety of choices and it’s popular among the mainlanders too. This place is also great for group bookings and you can hire out a little private room. But it might be hard for the kids to eat such spicy food. The ambience and atmosphere adds to the authentic experience. Definitely a good place to come back to.”

“We visited the restaurant last night and ordered few vegetarian starters and mains. We were served some chicken starter, instead of Paneer Manchurian ( as in photo).. it looked odd to me as generally paneer is in cubical shape. I asked service staff and they said it is paneer, I took a bite and knew straight away that it was not paneer. I asked staff to double check what it was, they confirmed from kitchen staff that it was chicken and apologized to me. Service staff appeared to be genuinely sorry about the error and then served paneer starter as ordered. I was not happy with this experience, but I understand mistakes do happen at every workplace. We were not expecting it, but we were given a discount on our order by cashier staff and they apologized to us again. Will visit again.. I would say the service was great, food was good and I hope we will be served the food that we ordered.”

The heat is on point. I've taken to scheduling my appointments at my doctor's to align with the lunch special/opening times. Come here, it won't disappoint.”

To round off the meal, I indulged in a refreshing soda and a Mango Mochi dessert, both of which were delightful. “My wife and I ordered the 5 course degustation, and enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere was just right, we had no trouble talking to each other though out the evening without having to lean in or raise our voice. Our glass of water was never empty. The waiter asked regularly if there was anything we would like without disrupting the pleasant experience. The wines were matched well with each dish and explained promptly, again so we could continue our peaceful evening together. We left more than content with the amount of food and enjoyed the conversation on the way home of which our favourite dish was. Thankyou Rubicon family, great night.”

“One of my favourite places to eat in Canberra. Would recommend taking a few tables out as it there are far to many in a tight spot so there is often a line of people squeezing to get in and out which affects ambiance. If you have a pram, forget it. Still worth a 5 star though.”

“Great service and delicious food. We got the banquet menu, where every dish was great. The staff were super welcoming and friendly - very professional and knew their stuff. The food and wine came quickly, and were all very tasty. The only small strange thing was they used the same main plate for all the different dishes - so the fish was mixing with lamb, mixing with the chicken etc. It would have been good to change plates between dishes. Overall - highly recommended”
