Verdi's
● Closed“A great place to have dinner on a beautiful day to watch the sunset over the water. Plenty of seating, tasty food and an easy to use online ordering system. Only disappointment of my most recent visit was the “Artist’s Palette” ice cream dessert - I was hoping for a large sundae based off the price and description, but it was 4 scoops of ice cream with sauce and toppings on the side inside a china palette. Very cool looking but not what I was hoping for not worth almost £10”

Gin & Juice
● Open“We visited Mumbles for a few days and G&J was recommended to us by a friend in Swansea. It is pure class. The food, the wine and the service was exceptional. I would go so far as saying that this is the finest bar/ restaurant I have ever been it. The bar is on the top floor of the building and the views of the sea are stunning- even at night. They also have live music on Thursdays. A very special has to go to the staff. They were simply superb. I like my red wine from a fresh bottle as it doesn't taste so good if it's from the day before. Many places refuse this. Not the staff at G&J who were happy to open a new bottle for me- and after the first glass I decided to buy the bottle! I also like a bit of cheese with my wine. There was none on the menu but I asked anyway. Again, many places simply say 'no'- If it's not on the menu there is nothing they can do- even though you know the kitchen will have cheese! Again, this was not the case at the G&J - and the guy at the bar said he would ask the chef to see if he could make something for us. I only expected a little bit of cheese but what they produced was amazing. Three different types of cheese plus olives and fruit- and they only charged £6.50 for it. There was too much for myself and Helen but our friend from Swansea arrived and helped us finish it! Originally, we were only stopping for one drink as our friend was going to show us around the town but as we were having such a great time in such a beautiful place we stayed at G&J all evening- and that was also because of the staff. Whatever money they are on they deserve more! They were all a credit to the bar and the company itself. Hopefully we will be returning to Mumbles at the end of April and we will look forward to an evening or two in the G&J.”

Bistrot Pierre
● Closed“Booked a table for 6 people on boxing day. We were seated by the table with sea view what was really nice. We went for 2 course menu for £19.95 including drink but there is also an option for 3 course meal for £22.95. My daughter went with children menu and was really happy with 3 courses and a drink for £8.95. Great menu selection and value for money. There is a paid car park next to the restaurant at £2 for 2 hours. Really nice and friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. Recommended”

Croeso Lounge
● Open“First visit and probably won't be my last (though 200 miles from home means it won't be a weekly visit). The service was prompt and polite with the focus on allergies, gluten and vegan. Found a table straight away and ordered the food within minutes. The breakfast was freshly prepared and well presented, whilst being delicious and enough to set me up for a long drive. Couldn't fault the service, all the waitresses were attentive and very helpful. Well done, this what service in hospitality should be.”

Singleton Park Boating Lake
● OpenMumbles Road, Sketty, Swansea SA3 5AU, United Kingdom“Great place on a sunny day. For the family there are pedal boats for spinning around the lake and an old, slightly faded crazy golf course. There's also a nice pub, with plenty of outdoor seating and a good play area with plenty of equipment. We like to feed the ducks, geese, moorhens, and swans. The geese are so friendly they'll come right up and take the bread out of your hands. A regular visit for us.”

The Oyster House
● Open“We had a wonderful stay at the Oyster House for 3 nights in March. The hotel rooms are beautiful and the sea views are stunning. The road is behind so the room looks directly out onto the bay. It was beautiful to wake up to sea views in the morning. The rooms are well decorated and tasteful with a light, airy and homely feeling. The double bed is large and comfortable. The shower was hot with great pressure. Breakfast was in the bar below and had a good choice of vegetation options, as well as traditional cooked breakfasts. The veggie fry up was great and croissants were good too. The staff were very friendly and we loved saying hi to them each day and were always greeted with a smile and a short chat. If you're visiting Mumbles and Swansea Bay, then the Oyster House is definitely the best place to stay!”

Slate Gallery / bar / café
● Open2 Dunns Lane, Mumbles, Swansea SA3 4AA, United Kingdom“I've always found art galleries to be quite intimidating places, with aloof staff, and populated by pseudo-art experts. Not a bit of it with the Slate gallery. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and completely informal, and with a stunning array of pictures available for sale. I was fortunate enough to be shown around by the proprietor, Ceri Williams, who was patient, helpful and very accommodating. The artwork on sale showcases Ceri's amazing versatility - pastel-coloured beach scenes, worked in acrylics, local views over Swansea bay, with storm scenes that capture the anger and energy of the weather with her brilliant cloud-work, and ink drawings of dogs, which convey the motion and energy of their movement. After all this, and after buying 3 pictures, there is an opportunity to relax in there informal cafe and bar on the ground floor, populated by friendly local people. This is a unique gallery experience, and I'd recommend it to anybody, even if you only want to browse Ceri's remarkable works, and enjoy a coffee afterwards! Definite 5-star rating!”
