“Genuinely one of the friendliest pubs we’ve been too. Staff couldn’t be more welcoming, food brilliant, dog friendly. We were staying locally at Welltrough Campsite and came for food and drinks on the Friday evening…so good we came back for breakfast on the Saturday and a drink after doing one of the suggested walks on their website.”

Great fun, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the manager was so kind to my niece. Facilities are clean and tidy, prices for two games of bowling was a bargain (we went early on a Sunday morning, which is the best time to go!). Will definitely come again!”

“I recommended the Knot Inn to my family as my husband and I had a delicious New Year's eve dinner there. Our table was for six and we chose to eat in the restaurant. We were greeted and taken to our table and asked if we would like drinks. The service is fantastic and there's a very relaxed atmosphere. I had the roast beef dinner and I have to say everything was cooked to perfection. The beef melt in your mouth and the vegetables Al dente, the roast potatoes perfect and of course you can't forget the Yorkshire puds (delicious) I must say the horseradish sauce was a true delight. As a desert I shared the sticky toffee pudding with my husband. Light and fluffy and the sauce well, what can I say like melted treacle toffee. Outstanding. I recommend anyone to try the food.”

“I wish I had taken a photo or two of our lunches. We had a great time here, the staff are very friendly, warm atmosphere and the food, oh wow, the food is amazing. Three of us had Hot Pot, the best I've had ever. My son had Lemon and herb chicken skewer with fat chios and salad. The food presentation was 5 star, the flavours take you back to your childhood, I use to visit with my parents in the early 1970's. They also have a pool table and beer garden, a return to try other food is a must. The Harrington Arm's is about 4 miles outside Congleton on the A534 Macclesfield to Leek rd and about the Same from Macclesfield. We live 12 miles away but we are definitely making a return visit. You know how a great English country pub used to be, the Harrington Arm's is a true great traditional pub. I simply cannot recommend it enough, we would gladly drive an hour to visit, oh, and they have a log burner. There is ample parking and seating. So let's keep a great country pub alive. You WILL NOT regret it.”
