“Excellent pub for a cosy Sunday lunch. We had the vegan nachos (which are hands down the BEST vegan nachos either of us have ever had), followed by fish and chips which was delicious! Very friendly staff, everything is reasonably priced and of excellent quality. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon”

“A great place to have a drink. Landlord and landlady are very welcoming. The people that drink there are also very friendly. Darts and pool teams. Sometimes they have a DJ or a band on a weekend. They also have sports on the tele sometimes.”

“Birthday COCKTAILS!! Celebrating with cocktails at this beautiful restaurant/bar. We visited Botanist Bar just today. We were taken to our seats in the Bar area which was lovely decorated with an flowerd arch way. The cocktails were very tasty and full of flavour and nicely presented.”

“Took family for Sunday lunch. Meal was perfect. Had roast beef pigs in blankets and extra cauliflower cheese. Then pudding. Staff where brilliant food came out hot and in good time. Daughter had kids meal and she was very happy and plate was clear.”

“Came for a Christmas bottomless brunch. What a lovely experience, one of the best bottomless brunch I’ve been too. Mixture of drinks to choose from not just Prosecco and the food was very filling and not limited like most places. “I used to work here back in the 90's when u could still access the bar from platform 1. Things have been drastically modernized since then but it's still a fantastic pub. The real ale choice is superb and the outside space upfront is a vast improvement. The staff seem really nice too. I didn't try the food but I was very happy with my experience here. I will definitely be back here again when in town.”

“Karaoke night and it was mega. Love a good sing song and beers who doesn't. Lovey crowd lovely staff and door men and women were fab. I had a fantastic time here and would definitely go again if I was in the area. Genuinely lovely people even the young rowdy lads were brilliant.”

“Overall great authentic tasty Chinese cuisine, and a lovely ran family restaurant. Please note this place has recently had a new ownership since 2022 (still called the same place) so won’t have dim sum but the other dishes are delicious and highly recommend. Worth noting that there is free parking, though it is within the Genting casino so people would need to have or open up a free membership and be over 18. Also note it is evening only from 6pm till very late and not open on Wednesday. Thanks NG and her team for lovely customer experience and prepared meals.”

“Rose, Edy, Jonny and Manu are honestly the best bartenders I've ever met. The priced are great, the service is unbeatable and the atmosphere is perfect. I cannot stress how great the staff are, so friendly, always coming to the table, asking for more rounds, bringing drinks over, perfect! That aside you have some of the best food (recommend the mussel and prawn pasta), great TV (show sports but doesn't have a rowdy sports bar environment) and is always clean, looked after and loved. There is a reason we changed our local from the hope and bear to here!”
