The Coffee Van
“I was so happy to discover this lovely local business. All of their products are so tasty. Always a really friendly service from the team in the van, I would highly recommend them!”
Ela's Coffee Bar
“Having the coffee cart where it is provides a valuable asset to Prospect Park. Great range of fabulous tasting coffees, teas, hot chocolates (the flavoured ones are fabulous in winter), coolers, fruit smoothies and soft drinks as well as a mouth-watering array of sweet and savoury pastries and bakes. Even though trading conditions are tough with the rising cost of living and the impact of this heatwave having a knock-on effect of opening hours, I hope this little gem continues on and on. It's the little indies like this which keep Reading going (and that's been so evident during these last couple of years with the pandemic and so on).”
The Little Coffee Express
“Lovely people serving families and dog walkers with excellent coffee and more! A great community asset in Arthur Newbury Park.”
Coffee Gallery
“A charming coffee shop with artisan sandwiches, lovely staff and a quirky vibe. A far cry from the franchise cafés you usually fined at stations.”
H'ARTISAN Speciality Coffee Co.
“Dropped in with the family for the first time on Saturday and had a delightful lunch. Food was excellent, the coffee was terrific too and the kids loved the cakes! Quick service by very helpful and friendly staff who were eager that we enjoyed the experience. We will be calling again!”
The Hive Craft Beer and Coffee Shop
“Excellent spot - exactly what Crowthorne needed. Astonishing craft beer selection (there's truly something for everyone), 6 taps with kegged beers, high quality coffee, large selection of spirits with some wine options, and incredibly friendly and inviting staff. The owners are lovely people and they really make you feel welcome. A place you can comfortable go and spend some time both alone and with friends. Also, very conveniently located across from the train station and a nice Indian so you can get a drink ahead of your dinner or before a night out in Reading. Highly recommend.”
Coffee A'more
“Nice coffee, friendly owners and the best flapjacks around!”
The Cedar Coffee Shop
“Had a lovely breakfast here yesterday Saturday 10th September 2022 with some friends. The first thing that caught my eye was the funny quote on the board outside which instantly made us feel welcome. We were greeted and served by such lovely staff especially the Italian guy. The food and drinks were superb. Would definitely come back again. 5 stars”
Karuna Coffee House - Karuna Action
“Great service, friendly and engaging staff. The negative review by the group of young people in February was rather biased. I was there at the time, at the other end of the cafe, and was very aware that the group of people were noisy. Generally really nice relaxed ambience. Good vibrant selection of pictures on the wall.”
Willows Coffee House
“Fantastic independent coffee shop café. Coffee is exceptionally good. Great selection of tasty savoury and sweet pastries etc. Very clean with friendly service. An oasis close to festival place.”
Lake House Cafe
“Love this place! First went after a run in the snow, and they had a roaring fire, which was great for warming up. Soup of the day was excellent. Since then I've gone after swimming in the lake. Staff are really friendly, always a warm welcome, and they don't even seem to mind that I drip lake water in with me when I come.”
VERO Waffle & Coffee
“Very nice atmosphere. Great customer service. Perfectly made ham and cheese toast. Would like to visit more.”
The Bull Hotel & Public House
“We had a lovely stay and meals here. Jayne and her staff are really lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was excellent, the food delicious. Breakfast was wonderful too! We shall definitely return. Highly recommended!”
The Old Mill Coffee Shop & Cafe
“Great place to eat, great food, very friendly and helpful staff. Best breakfast around”
Lincoln Coffee House
“Unbelievablyyy delicious bagels. I don't know what bread they use but it completely changes the experience of traditional bagels. I was also extremely impressed with the decaf coffee, as I'm used to decaf options being more bitter and tasteless than caffeinated ones - but not here! Also big shout-out to the owners, who are genuinely lovely people. Can't wait to go back!”
Coffee Under Pressure | speciality coffee & tea (7 Blagrave street)
“One of the best cafes in Reading without a doubt. The quality of the coffee is very good!! the people who work there are also very nice, polite, and friendly. Shout-out to my friend Patricia! She is the best:)”

“What a great little find while we were driving around on the weekend! Awesome Vibe, great energy and even better coffee. The treats are delicious and the best part - it was dog friendly too!”
Louie's Coffee & Teahouse - Crowthorne
“Really nice staff, friendly, helpful and lovely. Limited but tasty menu. The Patatas Bravas wasn't Patatas Bravas but quite tasty anyway. Soup a little bit boring but tasted okay and better than Costa. Coffee delicious. Will go back above all for the delightful service.”
The Coffee Shop
“Stopped by this morning to grab some breakfast. Really nice bacon sarnie and a good cuppa tea. They were really busy but didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food and it was all served with a smile.”
Weavers Coffee Shop
“What a fantastic coffee shop/cafe…! It was jam-packed when we visited, but there was plenty of staff, and the service was excellent. A full vegan-friendly menu was a pleasant surprise, and we were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience”

Workhouse Coffee
“I love their staff! Been wanting to try this place and finally! They are so welcoming! And the ambience was so different inside. You’ll be seeing a lot of bean bags? If I’m not mistaken. And also the coffee…magnifico!!! I was so sleepy just before and it was a relief getting a coffee here! This place needs more attention!!!!! I’ll be back for the cakes! Oh and coffee again too!”
Coffee#1 Wokingham
“A great coffee spot in the square, open for take out during lockdown. Incredibly lovely and friendly staff, and the best Pasteis de Nata - Portuguese custard tarts - around! This small chain is a worthy rival of independents and chains alike. I’m definitely swayed.”
Costa Coffee
“Great Costa, decent coffee and when you order via the app in advance the coffee normally arrives before you do.”
Costa Coffee
“I can not fault the staff or the coffee. The staff are always very helpful and friendly and the coffee is great. However I have one complaint and that is no toilet facilities. That's not the fault of the staff so doesn't stop me using this Costa branch.”
Sandhurst Park Cafe & Coffee Shop
“I have been working in this cafe for a year now and I can guarantee you that this is a place that you can grow your self as a person while working. Owner treats his employees like his family and respect each and every employee. As an employee of Sandhurst Park cafe I can ensure that all the employees are happy working in the cafe. I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a job to work at Sandhurst Park Cafe.”
