Westlake Woods by New Perspective

"One of the biggest challenges in life is finding the best future care for a loved one. My biggest worry is no longer being able to care for my mother due to my own personal family responsibilities and to find an assisted living facility that meets my and my mother’s needs is paramount. Over the past two weeks, I visited other facilities and Westlake Woods was my last stop. Really, I should have stopped here first. The Director of Sales and Marketing, Jeanne Onuska, immediately gave me a tour (unlike the other places where the Sales Director was unavailable or I had to make an appointment). I felt welcomed and comfortable and overall the experience was very pleasant. The building is extremely neat and clean, the employees engage with the residents, and the meals look like a five star chef prepares them. Having previously worked in assisted living, I look for certain things including 1) A comprehensive activities program with engaging opportunities that meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of their residents, 2) Champion hospitality to deliver excellent customer service to the residents, and 3) How their team monitors and communicates changes in the residents’ physical, mental, and emotional needs. Westlake Woods passed my personal requirements. I highly recommend Westlake Woods for your loved one."

"My parents have been living at Westlake Woods for one full year now. Transitioning to assisted living is one of the hardest things to do at any age. The staff were welcoming and comforting from day one. The facility is well cared for and responsive to issues/concerns raised by residents and family members. I believe that the management team is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the residents and from my observation, could use a boost from their parent company in terms of resources and prioritization. Having a stable and well-trained staff should be the highest priority for New Perspective, especially at Westlake Woods given its unique certification in the region."

"I recently became the Sales Ditector at West Lake Woods. Having worked in the area previously and knowing the building for a number of years, I felt very comfortable in accepting the position. The staff is great from the Executive Director, Nursing, Med Techs, Aides, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Dietary, Life Enrichment. All provide their own expertise in caring for our residents. Their apartments are neat and clean as is the building in appearance. Our Chef prepared meals and restaurant style service adds to the flair of still being a part of the community in Erie. There are plenty of activities for one to participate in. We at West Lake Woods focus on you as a person first, who you are and how we can better serve you when it comes to your care needs at most any stage in your life. I am very comfortable in knowing our staff provides the utmost care with dignity and respect to our residents, and I have the privilege to guide them through those steps to become a resident along with being able to work in their new home."

"Westlake nurses and staff take very good care of my brother, David, J. Wieczorek. They are very accommodating with taking care of his physical and health needs. That’s because of the fantastic supervision of executive Director, Deanna, Wiseman and Business office coordinator, Ann Miscikus . They definitely are five star employees ,and are an asset to your company! They are very helpful and responsive To the needs of their residents and family members . They make the residents ,especially my brother David, feel like family."
