"The rooms were beautiful, in a wonderful location. Service was amazing, we forgot to mention I was gluten intolerant in the reservation, and even though they ask for advanced notice the innkeepers were more than accommodating and made a gluten free breakfast for me. We can't wait to be back in the area to book again!"

"Check-in was easy and I appreciated the tour and history of the home. My room was perfect for my overnight stay by myself. I had planned to go out for dinner but ended up spending the evening in my room enjoying the peace and quiet (rare as a teacher and mother of three)! I was able to step out early in the morning for a run of the neighborhood. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed the earlier time by myself. Steve and Lisa were easy to talk to and I appreciated their insight and recommendations for spending time in the area."

"Spotlessly clean, quiet, on a leafy friendly neighborhood street in Erie, Pa. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about the Spencer House. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts are friendly and very helpful. There is a wonderful "food court", (not a mall food court at all!) just a quick drive down the street. It had all types of locally prepared food choices for dinner AND live entertainment on a Wednesday night. Our room, the Nursery is spacious with lots of windows, the bed was very comfortable, and there is a private bath. We came to this area to go bird watching in Presque Isle State Park, the birds were all there and this Bed and Breakfast just topped this mini vacation off! Oh and don't miss the Maritime Museum on the water-front, a real gem with very friendly folks who are a wealth of information."

"Just spent 3 days at Spencer House, check in was easy, Steve was there to greet us and give us a brief history of this beautiful home. The positives were excellent breakfasts prepared by his wife Lisa, the home is beautiful. We stayed in The President Suite, bed was very comfortable, nice sitting area but the bathroom is antiquated and there is what looks like mold around the tub tile, the toilet is very close to the floor… noise also carries, we could easily here people walking above us and the room downstairs where guests can congregate was very loud one night, but they do have a house rule of quiet after 10:00pm. With all that being said I would recommend this beautiful piece of history, just don’t expect updated features!"

"The Spencer House Bed & Breakfast exceeded our expectations; how rare is it to have a place live up to its superlative reviews. Steve and Lisa were kind, communicative, and understanding before our stay - and continued to be so throughout our (wonderful) experience at the Inn. We stayed in Nanny's Room and so enjoyed the thoughtful decor and private bathroom. Breakfast was divine and the first floor sitting rooms were the kind of places you never wanted to leave. We were tempted to spend our whole trip enjoying the beautiful parlor and front porch. A wholly wonderful experience, recommended to all, and we will hope to come back soon."
