Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Erie

"The hotel and grounds are clean, safe and the location was ideal for our needs. The breakfast and coffee bar were a real treat! My only disappointment was I booked a ground floor king suite and was given a 3rd floor double room, with no explanation. All in all, we had a great stay and I would happily return."

"I debated whether or not to write a review but than realized my experience could also be somebody elses and prevented. Upon arrival to the room and moving the pillows we actually caught and seen bed bugs. We caught one on a wash cloth with sanitizer and brought it to the front desk. It was disgusting and terrifying. I have never experienced visible bed bugs crawling in a bed at any other hotel..ever. While we were offered a refund for the room nothing was offered beyond that. It left us having to find another room at 10pm which was extremely difficult and expensive. My daughter had a gymnastics meet the next day and was in tears. While the staff was apologetic, I was a little shocked nothing beyond a room refund was offered. The experience was an absolute nightmare. It would have been helpful even helping us find another accommodation. Unfortunately I would never come back here"

"Terrible experience. After checking into the hotel my wife and I began to check the room over and clean things up for our kids. When we pulled the sheets back and moved the pillows we found 3 adult well fed bed bugs. 2 scurried away, but we caught one on a towel. We immediately grabbed our stuff and ran out of there. We brought our new bed bug friend to the front desk. The woman working was apologetic but didnt offer much help. She was much more concerned with getting us out of there and trying to keep us quiet about the bed bugs in front of other guests that were checking in. We were issued a refund, but we weren't offered another room (not that we would've taken it) and we were NOT offered any help finding another hotel to stay in. So at 10pm we left with 3 kids in freezing temps to find a new place to stay. We ended up going down the street to the Hampton and they were fantastic, the manager at the Hampton was more accommodating and helpful than anyone at the Cobblestone and it wasn't even their problem. We were given a free room upgrade and they price matched a third-party site. The Cobblestone may look like a good value but its NOT worth it, looking through the other reviews it appears they have had a bedbug problem for years. I know they cannot control what guests bring in but when a hotel has consistent issues it is on them. I do NOT believe this is an isolated incident. They have an infestation and they have not dealt with it. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone I know."

"Everything was clean, staff was great! A really nice woman took care of us afternoons during our stay 1/9-1/11. We even accidentally slept in during check out (oops!) and the housekeeping lady was so nice about it."

"Staying here in the winter time is nice & a good value. Even though there's not much to do in walking distance, it's located in a nice area with a great view if you get the right room. Breakfast is standard but they have good Seattle's Best coffee. The staff was accommodating."
