“Picked up lunch whilst in the city multiple times now, haven't tried all of the menu but I can vouch for the burger and wraps. Love that everything is vegan but not for the sake of it, they know what they want to do and they do it perfectly.”

“Have stayed here few times and always book here when staying at Norwich. Staff always friendly and very helpful. Comfortable rooms and good location. Good food. I can leave my car here for £5.00 daily so no need to travel into the city centre and then struggle to find parking at a reasonable cost. Always enjoy staying here”

“A great place with an incredibly friendly welcome and very personable staff. The atmosphere is chic and warm, the building a network of little rooms and flights of stairs (the toilets are up stairs and a little inaccessible for people with mobility issues). The menu is wide ranging and very reasonably priced and tastes amazing. The place was very well used by locals even on a Tuesday night, which in itself is a good review. We booked ahead and this was a good idea. Thoroughly to be recommended.”

“Probably the best restaurant in Lowestoft & surroundings. We stayed in a local B&B and found this lovely Italian style restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff, delicious food (London level quality), small but good wine selection. The restaurant is located in a lovely small park. I am glad that I went and I would recommend this place if you stay in the area.”

“Absolutely brilliant! The place had a nice atmosphere and the team were immediately friendly and very welcoming. There was a good selection of dishes on the menu to the point of us all having several choices that we were trying to pick between. The prices were also very reasonable. Once we had ordered the kids went outside to the play area. It's great when they can play and burn off sone energy whilst waiting for the food. When our meals arrived they looked great and better still it tasted great. The portions were generous and everybody cleared their plates. The children's meals were also great value and they wiped their plates! I can honestly say it was a delicious meal that we thoroughly enjoyed. Desert was equally good. To summarise; good menu, delicious food, great staff, reasonable prices and a lovely establishment. I do recommend and we are going back tonight.”

“A very lovely family friendly pub, with great atmosphere. Four legged friends are welcomed too. Very friendly staff. Without getting too overbearing, managed to keep my whole family entertained during our visit. Amazing food too. Overall British hospitality at its best! Something we all have missed during Pandemic. “Came here with a friend, Was very quiet when we came and the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was nice but not anything exceptional, was a pleasant meal but i don't think i will be returning. my friend didn't enjoy the rice he has with his mexican dish, said was starchy, watery and lacked flavour. (typically didn't mention it at the restaurant) my meal was fine, large portion and loved the BBQ sauce, with tender patty that could break away at the touch (how i enjoy it).”

“We have been to Middletons a few times now, and it never disappoints. We visited today for our daughter's 12th birthday, and it was beautiful. The staff are so incredibly friendly and the food is sublime. Three of us tried the roast dinner for the first time today, and it was delicious! To be able to enjoy a two course meal for four people, with drinks for under £60, is fantastic value for money, especially when you know the meat is top quality. We can't wait to come back again.”

“A small but well laid out restaurant. The staff were flat out when we arrived and there were 20 of us. They got everything right and really looked after us during the meal. The food was excellent and we had a variety of meals. During the meal we had a visit from the chef to make sure we were satisfied. Make sure you book as this is one of the gems along the sea front.”

“We managed to get a very early last minute booking while visiting the garden centre on Saturday. I had read good reviews about Smokey’s the previous year but too late to visit. I was glad to hear it was still here so accepted the only time slot left. We opted for a main course and dessert but the starters looked good. I had the “Smokey Grill” consisting of rumps teak, ribs and peri peri chicken. All cooked spot on, the rump was the best I’ve had in a long time, chicken moist and tasty, ribs fell off the bone. This chef knows how to grill meat’s. Couldn’t eat all the chips though, I’m getting old! The desserts were okay and maybe I’d have a starter next time but a good selection. Service was good and the atmosphere was sort of lacking as we were the only ones there at that time, as we were squeezed in first, but can’t knock owt off as the meats were top notch!! Can’t wait until next year!!!”
