"This is the worst place I’ve ever been too!! £20-£30 per meal for deep fried freezer food! Absolutely awful! The service was lovely but the food is disgusting. Full of oil and no flavour, overcooked and burnt. I complained 3 times and they still tried to charge me full price for everything. The ‘chef’ even came out of the kitchen and had a go at me in front of other customers because I had complained. Would absolutely not recommend !! If I could go give a zero I would!!"

"We managed to get a very early last minute booking while visiting the garden centre on Saturday. I had read good reviews about Smokey’s the previous year but too late to visit. I was glad to hear it was still here so accepted the only time slot left. We opted for a main course and dessert but the starters looked good. I had the “Smokey Grill” consisting of rumps teak, ribs and peri peri chicken. All cooked spot on, the rump was the best I’ve had in a long time, chicken moist and tasty, ribs fell off the bone. This chef knows how to grill meat’s. Couldn’t eat all the chips though, I’m getting old! The desserts were okay and maybe I’d have a starter next time but a good selection. Service was good and the atmosphere was sort of lacking as we were the only ones there at that time, as we were squeezed in first, but can’t knock owt off as the meats were top notch!! Can’t wait until next year!!!"

"This is THE hidden gem of North Walsham (if not Norfolk!!). Booking is recommended well in advance as they fill up quickly. It is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The service is excellent. The food is plentiful, well cooked and very reasonably priced. Give it a go if you can!!"
