"First time ever out for Christmas lunch albeit a carvery. Been a tough family year so decided a rest on Christmas day would be a treat this year. Very, very busy, initial greetings on arrival by reception and bar staff fine. Seated in the marquee which had obviously seen better day's, lots of drips and wet chairs which were stained. Carvery was served to guests veg too. No green veg at all to choose. Gammon very fatty which was disappointing. Most of pigs in blankets had no blanket!! Waiting staff very disjointed, didn't seem to have allocated tables which meant no continuity in attention to or clearing tables. Seemed to be plenty of staff but not very well organised. Dessert order was taken by being written on hand ✋️ surely pads were available. Very disappointed on a table of 10, two arrived with the following 8 arriving at least 15 minutes later ......problem with custard apparently. All in all not a good first experience of Christmas lunch out. My party will not visit again."

"Easy to book a table online. Ordering system via the app is sufficient and easy to use. Great selection of drinks both non alcoholic and alcoholic. Sauvignon Blanc from Bew Zealand is top class! Very friendly and helpful staff, tasty food and wonderful outdoor area with heaters and blankets. There was a small issue with some of our food which didn't come out for a while but it got resolved promptly and we were offered free drinks straight away. Great customer service. We will definitely go back!"
