“After a recent last minute visit, we are already trying to plan our return trip! A true hidden gem, not to be overlooked. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we cannot speak highly enough of them, they all had a smile on their face and chatted away to us even after a busy new years weekend. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Castlewellan Forest Park (which is also unreal). We ate at The Yard Restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and have absolutely no complaints - food and cocktails were delicious. The rooms are bigger than you'd expect, while still being cosy. They are spotlessly clean, as are the spacious bathrooms. The only negative we found was that we didn't allow ourselves enough time to spend here. Overall - we loved it here, and cannot wait to return soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!”

“A very solid 4 star hotel with outstanding facilities. Compliments must go to Joanne at the front desk and Ben at the restaurant for their incredible professionalism and dedication to service. We really enjoyed time relaxing in the 25 meter swimming pool, sauna and steam room overlooking the Newcastle promenade. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well laid out with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast buffet was extremely wholesome with hearty food to ensure a perfect start to the day. WiFi was functional, massage services were very well carried out and dinner was truly delicious. Check out was simple and uncomplicated. Thanks to the hard working staff throughout an entire hotel water issue which was dealt with very professionally, efficiently and effectively.”

“Just back from an overnight at this hotel for my husbands birthday. Got a deal which included wine and chocs on arrival and 2 course dinner. From the moment we arrived the young lady behind reception couldnt have been more helpful, no sooner were we in our lovely room when our drinks and a delicious plate of homemade goodies arrived. Dinner later on was served in restaurant again staff couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast was amazing no complaints from us. Only negative i could comment on was bed was a bit hard for us but thats personal choice. Will we be back .....definately”
