We are so happy that we chose Modern Vet Care over other vets in the neighborhood of Astoria. We just moved to the area from Germany and wanted to get our Dachshound neutered. Every single visit here has been awesome. They take fabulous care of our Pickles and guide us from start to finish and answer every question we have. They did a follow up call to ensure everything was good with Pickles one day post surgery. They have so many things included in the neutering price that others don't have and are over all very reasonably priced. The staff love their job to the fullest and you can feel that from the moment you walk in. They go the extra mile and take the extra care you want when it comes to your fur babies."

"* Note that most of the bad reviews were under previous ownership before writing this place off. I brought my cat here for the first time recently and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Ehmann and the staff at Modern Vet Care were extremely professional and compassionate during my visit. My cat was having respiratory issues and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue and prescribe treatment and I’m so happy that I trusted them with his care. Additionally, they are very clear and upfront with costs. Before the diagnosis, they told me what they needed to do and offered me options at different price points. Hopefully we won’t need to go back to the vet again aside form regular check ups, but I will continue to come back to them as needed. Also, the cats in the waiting area were great company and were very comforting while my cat was being diagnosed. I’ve recommended Modern Vet Care to my friends in the neighborhood and will continue to do so. Thank you guys for taking great care of my little guy!"

"If I can give Modern Vet Care a million stars I would. I have never met such a loving, compassionate group of people in my years of owning pets and going to vets. To make a very long journey short, I came to Modern Vet Care helpless and desperate for a 2nd opinion on my very sick Mango they did absolutely everything I mean exhausted every possible thing they can do to make him better. I was there every week with him. Unfortunately my baby boy Mango just could not fight off the infection and he ended up passing away at home. I brought him to Modern Vet Care to get cremated and get his ashes. I got a hug and thanked them for everything. When I went to pick up his ashes the following week and when I got home I looked through everything and I was just overwhelmed with so much love on how above and beyond they went to give me as much memories of him. I got pictures of his paw prints that I can frame, a beautiful card written by all the staff members, flower seeds to plant and this is the one that had me bawling even more than I already was. We opted out to pay to get his paw print molded on this clay plaque and THEY STILL GOT IT FOR US. I miss my Mangocito and think about him everyday. I will never forget him and he will always have a place in my heart. I am so thankful to still have a part of him his sister Kiwi! I am also so thankful that she has a such a amazing Veterinarian group to go to and provide for her."
