"I went with some friends, and we were really excited to try this place since it has just opened up, but the service was bad from the start. We were seated at a table that only had utensils at half of the spots and had to ask to get utensils for the rest of the table. After we ordered, it took over an hour to get our food. I know at some restaurants food comes out at different times, but for us, the cooked food came out first, and the people who ordered the hot food finished their meals before the people who ordered sushi got their food. There was also only one server, which definitely isn’t enough staff to support the entire restaurant. Overall, it was a very lackluster and disappointing experience and we will not be returning."
"The place is understaffed. The waiter was confused about a simple order and my group had to explain it four times. We had to wait over an hour for one dish to be brought out and the food was mediocre. I would not suggest anyone come here. There are much better Japanese restaurants in the city. This restaurant is a joke. Fancy decorations do not make up for lack of service and average food. I am deeply disappointed in Kamasu."
"I came in expecting a fast-casual experience and I was blown away by how much consideration went into every aspect of my lunch. You order at the counter, but the server (or bella bot) will bring your meal to your table. The sushi was top , grade, the toro was some of the best I've ever had. Karlee was so helpful and knowledgable, suggesting great gluten free options for me. Will definitely be back."
"Had the Gyudon Donburi bowl which was out of this world and my friend had the tuna avocado donburi and loved it too. The spicy scallop temaki was one of the best Japanese bites I’ve ever had - it’s now going to be a must order of mine. And then there’s the adorable BellaBot who brings over your dishes. This place is such a fabulous addition to FiDi!"
