"This hospital's emergency room is the worst emergency room in the entire world! All of the major hospital emergency rooms in NYC is a literal hell hole. The nurses are rude, ghetto, and lazy. The doctors don't listen to the patients and are basically drug dealers. The only decent hospital is St. Lawrence, and that's in Westchester County. These doctors, nurses, and other related workers need to be held accountable for their abuse and their bad behavior."
"Terrible hospital. Avoid at all costs. I had previously gone to this hospital (it’s the closest to me) with INTENSE pain and they did NOTHING for me. Turned out a few weeks later that my gallbladder had failed and they never spotted it because they don’t run accurate tests. Fast forward to yesterday, I am in intense pain once again. Head throbbing, body feeling like I got ran over and throwing up. They took my vitals and my heart rate was elevated and I had a high fever. These people had me wait FIVE HOURS with NO treatment. A simple EKG and then I was left out in the wild. I knew I had Covid but I’ve had Covid before and I’ve never experienced pain like I did yesterday. I complained and complained to them to at least get me some pain management or a better chair to sit in since my lumbar was in pain and in the end they did NOTHING. The doctor told me that I would be better off handling the symptoms at home. Great response. Upon receiving my discharge paper via email I saw that they did not acknowledge any of my symptoms and made it look like I was okay and decided to self discharge. This place is a JOKE. If you have the money go to other hospitals nearby because you will definitely not receive the care you deserve there."
"Went to their emergency room during the pandemic and it was a joke. They had adults in the pediatric emergency area, and their doctor didn't take my pain seriously, no testing was done aside from palpitation of the area. No blood tests, or imaging just urine analysis. Lately, they've also made their billing services fully remote, but no one picks up the phone. I recieved a letter stating that my insurance didn't pay for something in February and to call if I had any questions about the bill but it's been 2 weeks without any response. Online it shows no outstanding bills so it's really confusing."
"My first bad experience, I have been admitted here several times and my stay had always been good, until today that I already have 6 days admitted with my son here we had a double room where the first nights I was touched by very decent and respectful people, the last two nights I have been touched by a couple with their son who leave the light on until late at night, they spend the day in phone calls and with a very inadequate tone of voice, the husband stays to sleep and has an awful snoring because those that are very difficult For me and my baby to have rest time! I talked to the manager who didn't do anything, I don't talk to people or take the delicacy to even see if she could move us to another room I don't care if it was with another person maybe they weren't as indecent as these which the sick people have told her that please if they can keep their composure and they don't even change! The truth is that I would have liked to have another person to help me and be more condescending with the situation, because I have seen empty rooms since last night even double, but according to the person I spoke they were not available! I'm still here and I can't take a break! As a hospital you need to put some rules like do not let man stay at least in double bedrooms, do not permit loudly noise in the room and for the residents on the rooms to keep respect to others and peaceful space appropriate for recovering!"
"Please choose a different Presbyterian Hospital!!!!!!!!! If you can go anywhere else you should. They tried to take advantage of a sick patient and STEAL her jewelry. My 38 year-old sister came in to emergency room with issues involving her gut. Her jewelry was TAKEN by a NURSE and put into a bag DURING A SCAN. She stayed here for 7 days and upon discharge the staff (plural) tried to tell her she had no jewelry. Upon discharge she was told she didn’t come in with jewelry. After complaining she was only given back her ring. When me and my mother came to pick her up we had to THREATEN to call the POLICE to file a report and only when we said we will call the police all of her jewelry was returned by the security guard. No one knows why the security guard had her jewelry. They tried to keep 4 of her gold necklaces, 2 diamond bracelets. It’s disgusting these people TOOK ADVANTAGE of a sick patient. We are suppose to feel safe in hospitals, but apparently there are THIEVES that work here this includes the security."
