Hampton Inn and Suites Deptford

"I will get my one negative comment out the way and say that the rooms could've been cleaner. I requested a switch out of my first room due to food residue being scattered about. I booked a few hours before checking in due to an emergency so it very well could've been that I came in between cleanings. That said, the lady I checked in with was extremely kind during check in and when I requested my switch. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious both days of my stay. The gym is small but has a good variety of workout tools. The price for a last minute emergency booking on my part was very good. If you're looking for a casual stay and need a comfortable, safe place to sleep I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would go back again."

"I’m so happy there was a target up the street. There was absolutely nothing at the snack bar/ market. It was absolutely ridiculous that I had to pay a $15 per day parking fee for a hotel with a parking lot. There were no towels in the bathroom, and the showers appeared to have not been cleaned from the previous guest. When the request was made to speak to management, the response was “there’s none available.” Save your time and frustration and just book a room across the parking lot."

"Starting with the good. Lady at the front desk around 1130a got me checked in early. However I just wanted to drop off bags. But they still managed to get it done early. It just wasn’t all the way clean on the bathroom floor which I noticed hours after I drop my bags at the door and leave. Now Hotel front desk worker as of 733pm 12/31/23 the front desk worker sitting down talking on her cell phone at the front desk cursing. Mad because someone didn’t do what she wanted. Whole conversation heard. Call to front desk to ask for service due to hair being all on the bathroom floor and shower door. She stupidly ask did it just happen now or was it already there. I explained to her that it was here already. She cuts me off while talking and says I will send someone and hangs up. Not acceptable. Been a diamond member for years as well as employee to the Hilton brand. I will not be checking out u til the 1/2/24. Look forward to your response."

"The room seemed nice and clean and was located near the elevator as we asked for, but was missing tissues and soap to wash hands. I called the front desk and asked for these item and was told there was soap in the shower. The soap in the shower is attached to the wall! I could not reach it without stepping into the shower. I said that was unacceptable. The woman asked what kind of tissue and I said facial. She came to the room, not looking happy, with two bars of soap and toilet tissue. Also, the breakfast did not have very much variety. I have been to other Hampton Inns that have yogurt and fresh fruit, etc. I have diabetes and the only thing I could eat was the eggs. They were also skimpy on the towels. Just one set for each of us. No extras just in case. All the other Hampton Inns I've stayed at give at least one extra set, mostly two, especially since they don't clean the room every day, unless you request it."

"Room was on the nicer side for a Hampton, seemed to be on the newer side. Could have used some better cleaning as there was some hair left in the shower and the soaps were out. Service from front desk was not the best. I approached the front desk to get a physical key as my digital key was not working and they ignored me for several minutes before I was even acknowledged let alone helped.Also, the little area to buy snacks/drinks at the front was poorly stocked and had very limited options."
