This historic campus, spanning 62.5 acres and encompassing 23 buildings, is an official site of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Originally constructed in 1941 by the Department of Defense, the complex served as a vital Army ammunition plant during World War II, employing approximately 16,000 individuals in the production of .30- and .50-caliber ammunition. On July 1, 1966, ownership was transferred to GSA, which transformed the site into the modern office park it is today.
