"THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!!! In the year my fiancé held a lease here someone was shot in the front stairwell, multiple cars were broken into/stolen, over half of the promised amenities were inaccessible, trash EVERYWHERE(inside and out), an office employee slept with residents and gave them free parking in return, and they changed everything over to a cell phone app to enter the property. dead phone? cant access your apartment building. elevators don’t work half the time and when they do the floors are soaked in dog pee. i have never experienced such a lack of professionalism, ethical practices, and care for residents from any place I have ever lived. i wouldn’t recommend Cold Storage to my WORST enemy."

"New to the area and apartment shopping downtown, stopped by Cold Storage Lofts and glad I did! The office was very busy when I walked in, but the manager himself stopped what was he was doing to greet me and answer my all of my questions, and even took the time to show me around several different lofts that were open, as well as recommending multiple restaurants and shops literally right next door to the property. Really impressed, with the courtesy and the apartments I was shown, as well as the convenience to all downtown has to offer."

"Beautifully done and well-appointed loft space, with a TON of amenities, including a HUGE gym, rooftop pool access, EV charging stations, Podcast room and Party/Game rooms, and so much more. Walking distance - only steps away- to KC's BIGGEST city market, which is definitely something to experience."

"Didn’t live here, just toured. But we were thoroughly unimpressed. The first time we tried to tour, we were told that they didn’t have time (even though we confirmed our time via email). Came back the next weekend and the guy who took us around was constantly on his phone and didn’t really answer any of our questions. The spaces were uncomfortably small and there was ZERO built in storage. The kitchen size was laughable, and the interior of the building (between the apartments) horrifying resembled the inside of a prison. 9 floors, and no freight elevator, so moving in would be unending flights of stairs…absolutely not. On our tour we noticed nails, empty bags, and bits of trash littered about the hallways and common areas which no one seemed concerned about. We were instantly turned off by our tour and experience and will not be returning."

"DO NOT LIVE HERE. Since I have moved in my vehicle has been broke into twice and stolen out of the paid parking garage. I was charged for a month of the paid parking even after my car had been stolen (I had to reach out to the office multiple times to stop the automatic charge even though they were a part of the entire process with police and we had a discussion regarding my parking pass being stolen with my car). Since then, my roommate and I have had to deal with birds getting into our apartment through the ceiling and multiple leaks. While the leaks get addressed they always resume. The bird situation has been going on since December with resolutions discussed but never followed through with. There is a massive leak from the sky light in the atrium that leads all the way down to the first floor, flooding each floor on the way down. The fire alarms regularly go off in the MIDDLE of the night. All in all, the staff is friendly and kind, but it’s very clear the management company has no interest in the well being of its residents. This has been made very clear by the blatant disregard for safety measures around the building. The elevators that are inoperable most of the time, and the inability to come up with a constructive means to get rid of the pests in the building. They are adding “amenities” before the building is even livable. It’s absurd living in an apartment advertised as “luxury” and I share it with birds, and deal with leaks in almost every space I have access to."
