"Standard Motel 6. My room was clean. Bed was free of bugs. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Microwave was available near ice machine. Very reasonably priced. I would stay here again."

"PLEASE, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND DO NOT STAY AT THIS MONEY HUNGRY SCAMMING PLACE !! ALL THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE! My husband and I were in town from Oklahoma for an emergency situation here in Independence Missouri and attempted to call EVERY hotel within a 60 mile radius and due to the events in KC, were all booked. My husband is a home dialysis patient and we needed a place to stay for the night so he could do his treatment. We resorted to this location because we honestly just needed a place to set up his treatment and our car wasn’t an option (now looking back, would have been a much cleaner place than the hotel). We checked in at 9:30pm and was told by Johnathan that we were “lucky” because that was the last room they had for the night, it was $132! Already skeptical about the place, I desperately booked the room… when we got into our room. The room was FLITHY and completely FALLING APART. Not to mention, our bathroom light wasn’t even working. I called the night manager to come look at it and he told me that there was nothing they could do, no other rooms to accommodate, NOTHING. He said we can speak to the manager in the morning. We pulled through the night, showering in the dark.. In the morning we checked out and I asked to speak to the manager and the lady at the front desk was ABSOLUTELY RUDE. She would not give me the manager’s contact information and told me that “management” is not there and we just have to keep calling the hotel to check if manager is there.. I found that absolutely ridiculous since our stay with BELOW HEALTH & SUITABLE STANDARDS!! I asked to speak to whom ever she was reporting to and she absolutely refused. She then left in the middle of our conversation and hid in the back room, hoping that I’d leave. Other people came to check out and also complained to her also telling them that there was no management and went back to hide in the back room! What do you know, the housekeeping worker came and I asked who was in charge and she said that the lady who was telling everyone that there was no manger WAS THE MANAGER OF THE PROPERTY!!! The housekeeping lady told me her name was SANDY NEIK. Ms. Sandy never came back out to finish our conversation but I saw that she was viewing the security camera in the lobby.. Very disappointed and will never be desperate enough to stay in a place with bad review again! With this price I was expecting a decent place to stay, but I WILL LET THE PICTURES SPEAK FOR ITSELF."
