“Loved it. If we lived in Melbourne we'd live near here. When I asked what beers are available the barman pointed up above to the bar to an extensive row of bottles and cans. I said can I have a long neck of MB? "Sure can" he said. So back to our table I walked proudly with a longy and a wine glass of bubbles for my love.”

“We were a group of 10 people and the staff were great, very attentive from the moment we got in there until we left. The food is always amazing when I’ve eaten here so was glad to share the experience with some of my friends who hadn’t been here before. 100% recommend!”

“Walking around in the rain after the dancing and a lady in the street told us to go to Coco Kebabs. It turns out listening to her was an excellent decision because Coco Kebabs delivered on all of our kebab dreams and probably more. Thank you street angel kebab advice lady.”

“St Kilda is a mixed bag of surprises and rather bohemian, so finding a really great little hotel so conveniently situated and excellently presented was a treat. The rooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean with exceptionally comfy beds, a well stocked mini bar, and a fantastically hot shower. Comfortable and welcoming, highly recommended. The staff are friendly, helpful and the cafe serves the best coffee and eggs benedict ever. Tram Station is right over the road too, to pretty much anywhere in Melbourne so it couldn't be more convenient for exploring this amazing city. Get a Myki pass on your mobile and you are all systems go to travel the trams at will.”

“Use to go often with my husband especially when we lived in St Kilda, but when nearby and with time that fits the schedule, Bala's is on the menu card. Loved my meal, was a huge portion for 1 person, ate most and had all of my chicken + prawns which were added extras. Meals always taste super delicious and great value for money. Was a bit slow in receiving my meal the other night though. If looking for a quiet space (no loud background music) just dedicated to eating and a chat with another or two, go there. They have some outdoor seatings too now, but not the place for ambience, music or big groups, again small group catch ups and having a really nice affortable meal, or quick meal on the go on your own as I did or with a another or two is ideal, you'll love it. A keeper and go to if you're in St Kilda.”

“Cheap and lot. I love the curry here. I was very hungry and waiting for a bus, I ordered a curry+rice meal and they serve me in 5 mins. Tasty chicken and curry paste with authentic rice. Beautiful! Will come again and suggest my friends to come too. (Was too hungry and quickly finished this lol)”

“This hostel is amazing. It is located near the beach in a quiet surrounding. The staff are extremely friendly and it has direct access to the city restaurants and all sort of shops. If you don't own a car do not worry because there is bus stops at the door and 2 train stations at a walking distance. If you are looking for a affordable place to stay this is the place. The people that are staying here are amazing. You can really build good friendships here. Enough said you have to experience it for yourself. .”

“We visited pestos and we really loved the food! The staff were really nice and attentive. The Italian potatoes, lasagne, spinach and ricotta cannelloni and bolognese were all 10/10. The raspberry tiramisu was the nicest dessert we’ve had in a long time. The only thing I would say was it would have been nice for the lights to be a bit darker and some candles on the tables for atmosphere. Also we thought the arancini could have had better flavour. We had a great meal though. We will definitely go again. They have great deals at the moment for 15% off the bill Thursday-Sunday and free entree/dessert for 4 people or more Mon-Thursday”

“We had an evening mid-week meal starting with delicious lentil balls in yoghurt and tamarind, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds (dahi bhalle). Very delicate taste, yet full of flavour. That was followed by very well prepared flattened rice (poha), an Indian dish that is relatively hard to find in other Indian restaurants around Melbourne. They can make it milder or hotter according to your preference. We also had paneer naan that came with little side servings of home-made butter, mango chutney and excellent “fluffy” yoghurt. Cafe Kisna - highly recommended.”
