“Went to the Olive Tree in Stockton Heath for the first time at the weekend to try their Sunday roast. There was a great atmosphere and the service and food was excellent. Drinks were a bit pricey but nonetheless we felt we got good value for money. I’d certainly recommend a visit.”

“Great haircut. I went at midday on a Monday to the Didsbury barbers. I waited about a minute before Andy(?) (manager) began my cut. I left incredibly happy, he listened to what I asked, modified it to suit my hair and I came out with the style I wanted. Only £17 aswell.”

“It's a great place to enjoy a nice meal at one of the restaurants before heading to the Vue cinema what is inside the building complex. The car park is next door but this time we took the bus as the kid's ticket is £1 and the adult ticket is £2 and it worked out better this time than the parking£££.”

“The best customer service I’ve ever had when taking my little girl out to eat. The food is okay. However, the customer service is unbeatable. The manager was so considerate of our child. He was really good at keeping her calm so all diners had a great experience. It takes skill to do what he does.”

“Great little pub with friendly staff and very reasonable pricing. I often buy vouchers for my parents as a treat and they always have a good time and really enjoy the food. A little gem tucked away next to Golden Days garden centre. Would highly recommend.”

“A varied menu to suit all tastes, from snacks through to full 3 course meals, all freshly cooked with superb ingredients. Can be very busy when they have business events on in the hotel, but choose the right time and it is easy getting served. Probably best to check first by ringing (and also ask for one of the window tables for the best views) Sit at one of the tables overlooking Piccadilly Gardens and enjoy wonderful food, and great views at the same time. The staff are very professional and extremely pleasant. Well worth a visit if you enjoy eating delicious food in a bright restaurant with excellent views.”

“Visited the store to look for curtains (didn't have the size in-store for the style I wanted) and to have some lunch at the cafe, ordered a toasted tea cake (they're massive I only had half, it was enough), a banoffe muffin and of course a hot chocolate, which was all absolutely delicious. The £1 cake with any main offer meant 3 teas, a hot chocolate, two soups, a toasted tea cake and 3 cakes came to just £22!! Brilliant. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Decent location, not too fancy, but it does the job considering the price. If you're claustrophobic, please ensure that you do not book a room with the window. The location is great, 10 minutes walk to centre Manchester. The hotel is quiet, and the bar area is open 24/7. Worthwhile”

“Stayed here for one night as a solo traveler. Had to book last minute, as a previous letting agent cancelled. I was sent check-in instructions promptly and had no issues checking in myself (there is no reception desk but they send you very clear instructions on how to self-checkin). The room was spotless clean (kudos to the cleaning and maintenance team). Everything you could possibly need was available inside, from tea/coffee, microwave/oven, fridge, basic cutlery, etc. There was TV and free wifi too. Would definitely stay again in the future.”

“Been a resident at The Slate Yard for nearly a year and couldn't recommend it more. Gym is brilliant, you feel so safe even in the middle of a busy city. My friends and I have loved it and wish we could stay longer but cannot due to moving out of the city. Would recommend to anyone looking for a central flat, Ems”

“In the morning I was craving for Chana Poori and decided to try this new place called Sam's Jalebi. I have tried their Jalebi in the past which is so delicious. This time I ordered a portion of Chana Poori. The portion includes 3 poori, Chana curry with potatoes and a sweet halwa. Everything was very tasty. It wasn't heavy at all as the poori was very thin & fluffy. They also gave some picked onion and mint sauce. I also tried their Desi Tea/Chai which nice too. I tried Jalebi again which always very thin, crisp and delicious. This place has a seating capacity of approximately 30-40 people They make fresh Jalebi everytime they get order. If you are reading this review and you like Asian dishes then you should definitely try this place. Sharing few pics”

“Great local find. Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. I’m quite heavy with my hands, and type a lot, but these nails rarely lift. Can get a backfill every 3 weeks rather than 2 weeks. Also use NSI acrylics, not unbranded products. Attention to hygiene is impeccable, with screens and sanitisation being priority. Feel safe there. Friendly owners.”

“So glad the Jubilee has reopened. I particularly enjoy my swim and, although currently, you have to book I really enjoy it. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Worth joining if you enjoy regular exercise. It is now Aug 2022 and I have continued my membership and swim regularly ever week. Just love it! Feb 2023 and still have a regular couple of swims each week but haven't gone back to the gym. Busy OAP!!”
