“Thank you Kinghams. I have just received the most amazing, above and beyond service imaginable. I was in East Croydon for highly distressing personal reasons (to appear as a witness in Family Court) when a wheel bearing went in my Subaru. The AA (who I had called) highly recommended Kinghams, then escorted me there. They thought they could it relatively easily and that I’d be able to travel on down to Cornwall to visit my son and grandchildren who I haven’t seen for a year. . Sadly, the more they looked at the car the more problems they found. I was kept informed (so efficiently by video film) and difficulties arose because of the well-publicised shortage of parts. They eventually fixed my problems by bastardising one of their new, for-sale cars leaving it unsaleable until September when the parts can be replaced by Subaru. This is almost unimaginable service. They were kind, courteous, informative and great in every way. They have eventually managed a top class job of getting my car safely back on the road. “Great experience but be mindful! Had my cars windscreen completely smashed. Booked the appointment through insurance and only had to pay £75 for excess. I was not sure if it is legal to drive with the screen condition. Called up autoglass helpline and was told that the windscreen is a laminated glass and it should not fall if the edges are intact with no holes. Also that only drive if a clear view is available. I reached 15min early. There is ample parking. The guys at the Autoglass croydon were very nice and took the car immediately in. There is a waiting area with coffee machine which i did not try. It took 2.5 hours and the car was ready. They also cleaned up the internal for the broken glass pieces. If your screen is broken in such a way that glass pieces are inside the car then I would suggest to switch on the front aircondition in full with car un occupied. This should get most small pices out from the air vents. I only realised this once i got home agter a professional cleaning and the car got filled with glass pieces again...
