The hot chocolate was delicious and I liked the creamy top, it was very chocolately. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever by Elephant & Castle.”

Reasonably priced fresh produce and meats of excellent quality. They have excellent bakery for freshly made to order Arabic pies and pastries and wonderful rotisserie chicken meals to go. Not a local, but always worth the journey for me on a Sunday morning to stock up our larder: rarities like Zalatina for Xmas, and top quality staples including Halvas, Kolokasi, Poules, Lountza, Louganiga/Pastirmas, Lahana, Trahanas, and everything else imaginable, including a wide assortment of olive oils. With calming and contemplative Greek Orthodox chanting playing quietly in the background, Demos makes for a very pleasant Sunday morning's shopping indeed, working as an antidote to the mind-numbing soulessness and sterility of the big supermarkets.”

Adding to that the fabulous patio, the cosy indoor and the fact that the drinks are distilled onsite, all of that makes this place the perfect boozy oasis in the middle of East London!”

“Wonderful space arranged over three floors. It is open to the public and free to visit. The main street level area has a coffee bar and a mix of exhibits and products for sale. The first floor is a restaurant and bar. And the basement level is an exhibition space and micro library. The staff are friendly and helpful.”

“My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting London. Small hotel which is amazing. The staff are all lovely. The rooms are small but had what we needed. The bathroom and shower was so nice. We had breakfast on our last morning and it was amazing. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in London.”

“Wow what a unique and creative concept! Whether you choose lunch or dinner, there's a set menu and an itinerary (with a guide in the form of a speaking pen). Such a great way to see the city while having delicious food. The bus departs and arrives on the same spot, by the Embankment station. Every passenger needs to book in advance. I recommend going for lunch so you can actually see the city clearly instead of in the dark.”

“Having been to at least 3 other groomers in 6yrs of my dogs life, this is the absolute best by far, They all made me and Jack very welcome and introduced him very slowly as little jack is a willful little character. They do not rush him and are very thorough in all they do for him, Im extremely happy with the whole service.”

“Fabulous shop. Raw food specialist. Advice given freely. Incredibly welcoming to dogs that go into the shop. The groomers are great with the dogs and were very patient with my dog on his first ever visit to a groomer. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Awesome range of accessories and toys too.”

“Our Italian friend who is very picky when it comes to foods introduced this place to us a year ago and since then we have been eating pizza only here! We have tried most of the pizzas in the menu and loved them all. You definitely need reservations specifically for the weekends. Their quality deteriorated recently but still the best in London. Staffs are not as friendly as before”
