New Garden Quarter
● Open“Great location, close to Stratford station as well as Stratford international. Close enough to East Village (restaurants, bars, cafes etc) while being slightly further away from the action. Very friendly concierge, decently equipped gym. Park in the centre of the development is public access with some playground equipment for children to play with. From my point of view, it is fairly quiet and I don’t really hear my neighbours or anything when the windows are closed but you do get some sounds from the road / hear neighbours if you are both outside, and the windows are open (no different from anywhere else in central London)”

X1 Chatham Waters
● Closed“I am happy to be working with X1 Management. Especially Account Manager Olivia Martin always answered my questions clearly with very fast, detailed and satisfactory answers. I communicate with her very comfortably. I also received very quick feedback on the issues she referred to the accounting department. Thank you for their patience.”

Backyard Cinema
● Open2-4 Armoury Way, London SW18 1SH, United Kingdom“So much fun! Wasn't expecting the actors at the beginning but it was very magical! Really got us into the Christmas spirit! We saw love actually, could see clearly, seats were super comfy and drinks were reasonably priced for a London attraction (£23 for a bottle of wine) Would definitely go back, would be ace during the day for kids too if they like a movie day!”

Burroughs
● Closed“My ex needed an ID1 form signed and completed and my divorce solicitor couldn't do it. We were running a very tight deadline so I started ringing up solicitors in maidstone, out of the 7 I rang only one could help and that was Burroughs, all the rest said they either couldn't do it or had nobody to do it. It almost felt like they were palming me off because its only a small job (verifying identity). The receptionist put my straight through to Toby whom made a free slot in his schedule the same day and booked us in. He was very polite and helpful and filled in the ID1 for my ex. Thanks Burroughs! You helped us both out at a very hard and stressful time.”

Lammas Recreation Ground
● Open115 Wraysbury Road, Staines-upon-Thames, Staines-upon-thames[11] TW18 4UA, United Kingdom“Parking is 50p for 1 hour. Kids splash park open over summer and is fairly clean and not too busy. Tennis courts are nice. Gym stuff available and a big kids playground and a little kids one - equipment is nicely kept. There are kayak rentals, and mini golf. Nice seating by the river and the cafe isn't a complete ripoff but it does have limited veggie options. Toilets I've luckily never been in since I was a kid but I imagine they're as good as you'll get in a public park in this area. Massive green spaces and a straight path in the middle where I learned to ride a bike and now 25+ years later am teaching my son to ride. This park is great.”

Oxhey Park
● OpenEastbury Road, Watford WD18 0FB, United Kingdom“Oxhey Park is great there are various skate parks and tracks for kids to use their scooters and skateboards on. The climbing frames are big enough for adults so I was able to play with my child rather than spectate. There is a water refill station so you can take your own water bottle and refill while there. There is also an accessible climbing frame which is great for buggies and wheelchair users. There is a coffee shop right next to the play area and restrooms which were clean. If you cycle to the park there is plenty of bike lock up spaces.”

Carshalton Water Tower & Historic Garden Trust
● Open“Fascinating slice of history, you can explore the suite of entertaining rooms, including the orangery, saloon, pump room and plunge bath. The garden space surrounding the building features an impressive hermitage grotto and "sham bridge", either end of what was originally a boating pond at the Western springhead of the River Wandle. The Water Tower is a unique Grade II listed early 18th century garden building sited in the grounds of Carshalton House in South London, built when the area was in the Surrey countryside, full of large houses owned by wealthy families. "As the name suggests, this contained a water-powered pump, which supplied water to Carshalton House and the fountains in its garden. However, the building was and is much more than this as it contains a suite of rooms such as the Saloon, the Orangery and a splendid early 18th century bathroom with a tile lined plunge bath. Aside from the Water Tower, there is the surrounding garden including the Hermitage and Folly Bridge. All this is managed voluntarily by the Friends of Water Tower & The Historic Garden Trust."”

Fairlop Waters Country Park
● Open“We are so very lucky to have this on our doorstep and it is easily forgotten that the London Borough of Redbridge has some of the most beautiful parks and recreational grounds that London has to offer. I came here today with friends, kids and dogs and there is just so much activity and if you just want to chill out you can do that too. Lovely little cafe and restaurant also.”

-
Sydenham Wells Park
● OpenTaylor's Lane, London SE26 6LA, United Kingdom“One of the highlights of living in the area is this wonderful park. I go for a stroll through Wells Park regularly and it is so huge that no matter how many people there are, you still feel like there's so much space to wander. It has a separate play area for under 5's as well as a park for older children. There's also an outdoor gym, x2 Tennis courts, a Basketball court and x2 two small ponds with different species of ducks to familiarise yourself with. The park rangers take great care of the park and it is always kept tidy. There's public toilets too and sometimes there's a food truck and ice-cream van parked inside the park for all your snack needs. I highly recommend Wells Park as a hidden gem in South East London”

Southwark Park
● OpenGomm Road, London SE16 2TX, United Kingdom“Was my starting point for viewing the Queen laying in state. A very beautiful park….if not full of crowds, definitely perfect for walks, and maybe a summer picnic (if allowed). A part of London I had never been to before so was nice to see a pretty part rather than buildings.”

● OpenChislehurst BR7 5DF, United Kingdom“Today my husband and l went to visit Recreation ground the back of Chislehurst Library. Hasn't chanced much since my last visit about 35 years ago. Although it has a new play park for the kids and a new cafe with toilets. The woods at the back goes up to the fields the back of Victoria Road. You can still see Redhill School from the woods, where l went to school 57 years ago. It's a lovely park thats why l give it 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

Camer Park Country Park
● Open“Not local to us, found it using Google when we were in the area, but what a great find for dog walking. Highly used by dog walkers, the majority of which are off lead, so felt really comfortable letting our 2 lurcher puppies off lead too. No-one complained when they went bounding up to their dogs to play, and such a vast open area, with woodland around the edges, which our dogs love. Numerous benches and bins all around the site. Lovely little cafe hut there too for us humans to get refreshments and chat to other people. Plus free parking, what more could you ask for. Highly recommend.”
-
The Plough Inn
● Open“Unbelievable service here, very attentive and engaging the food was TO DIE FOR. Only minor was the sharing steak (pictured) we felt should have chosen a larger size as we both thought it wasn't QUITE big enough, our fault, not theirs. The wine (pictured) is some of the best I've ever tasted as is the garlic bread starter (pictured). Will definitely be returning but at over £200 for 3 people probably only for special occasions. Thank you again to the staff here, truly exceptional!”

The Blackfriar
● Open“The Blackfriar gets it's name as it was built on the site of an old monastery. When you walk in the first thing you do is look around you everywhere as it is stunning. It is part of the Nicholson chain of pubs so it does decent food, I had a vegetable&lentil pie and it set me up well for a day of drinking! In the 1960's The Blackfriar was nearly lost to redevelopment, which goes to show how fragile the future of pubs even the most historic can be. It is conveniently located across the road from...you guessed it Blackfriars Station, it is on the Thameslink or the London Underground.”
