Emilia's Crafted Pasta (St. Katharine Docks)
● Closed“10/10 dishes. Me and my wife ordered different pastas and they came as authentic as they should. Was really impressed with the quality of food and cooked to perfection. Most italians always have there way of cooking when ordering the same dish. But what we had was what I would say is original and how it should be in every Italian. Superb job to the chef's. Staff were friendly and service was very good. Lovely small restaurant which probably explains why the food was so good as they are not catering to a large number of people.”

The Northall
● Closed“A quiet Wednesday evening for them. Excellent from Start to finish. We had an amazing sommelier called Selina who was engaging and wonderful to talk to about her knowledge of wine. The ceviche starter was good as was the chicken mains .both presented beautifully. Desert of gateau was also very good. Had the most amazing wines- the amarone and the pipparello. Will be back next month when the set dinner menu changes.”

OKAN South Bank
● Closed“A hole-in-the-wall that feels like you’re in Japan. Food was good with Asahi beer on tap and a small assortment of sake and wines. The smell of cooking does radiate into the dining area so your clothes will leave with a hint of it. Sitting at the counter watching the chef make the okonomiyaki and dishes should be fun if you’re into that stuff. A very peculiar yet special place that’s close to the London Eye. Make a reservation before going to guarantee a spot as it’s a pretty small restaurant.”

East Greenwich Pleasaunce
● Closed“Lovely park. Full of old gravestone, which I like. Dogs are welcome, but also a fenced off area where dogs aren't allowed. This dog-free area includes a small fenced-in playground. Small café has just reopened after being closed by Covid. It's no comparison to Greenwich park, but nice to have on the East side of Greenwich. There are no public toilets however.”

The Dove, Hammersmith
● Closed“A great location situated right on the river with an upstairs terrace decorated nicely. The food looked like it had come from a Michelin star chef and tasted like it too! Our evening was made by the friendly staff who went out their way to accommodate us and invite us back. Shall definitely be returning!”

The Ship
● Closed“(This review is based on our experience at westferry pizza and not the hotel as a whole) My mate and I ordered the margherita and the diavolo with some garlic dip and an Aperol spritz. The servers / bartenders seemed really nice, especially the girl behind the bar. The pizzas (especially the diavolo) was fantastic! Quite spicy because of the nduja, but the garlic dip helped balance it out. Quite busy (quite a few families playing board games, etc). Would definitely go again for some pizza. Pizza prices were quite standard though not sure a garlic dip should really be £2.”

Thorpe Lakes Aqua Park
● Open“Went there with my 15 year old triplets and we had a ball. The park has a lovely atmosphere to it (the fact that the weather was great did its bit too). It is large with lakes, big green patches and shady trees everywhere. We did the assault course and it was a blast. I'm a balding middle aged man, but I felt like a kid in the water climbing over the many obstacles. Everyone there had a smile on their face! The guards are very cool about diving, jumping and generally let people have their fun. We climbed, slid, jumped and swam for a full hour. It was tiring but oh so much fun! For 15 pounds a person (wet suits were not required due to the heat) it was well worth the money. My kids loved it and we had some great bonding time. Next time we will try the water skiing, which looked like a lot of fun. There is a canteen / restaurant with really nice burgers too.”

The Waterside Venue
● Open367 Uxbridge Road, Mill End, Rickmansworth WD3 8DT, United Kingdom“I had my mamma Mia themed birthday party at the waterside. Conor, Kevin and the rest of his team went above and beyond to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible - I could not fault them. It is such a beautiful venue, perfect for weddings, parties etc. I would highly recommend!!!”

Lyric Hammersmith Theatre
● Closed“The Lyric Hammersmith is a great venue. The bar staff are friendly and the bar is well stocked. There is plenty seating and on good weather days, the roof terrace is lovely. The bar does serve hot drinks, but only until early evening so I couldn't get a coffee before I went to see the play last night. The auditorium is a Victorian one with stalls, dress circle and upper circle. The seats are quite close together so if you have very long legs, you'll need to pick your aisle seat carefully as they don't all have better legroom because of the pillars. The seats are not the most comfortable I've ever sat in at the theatre so if that's an issue for you, take a small cushion with you! Sight lines from the stalls and circle are great (I've never sat right at the top), and the seats are staggered so you shouldn't have a head directly in front of you. The range of productions on offer do vary a lot in quality and style. I e seen some brilliant things there and some that just didn't hit the spot. But to have a good repertory theatre in a residential neighbourhood is amazing in this day and age, and something to be nurtured and cherished.”

Keats House
● Closed“The home of English poet, John Keats. A beautiful house with garden with a nearby library. A very beautiful big garden with lots of flowers and I'm sure Keats must have enjoyed the birds singing in spring.”
-
Beckenham Place Mansion
● ClosedCapital Ring, Beckenham BR3 1SY, United Kingdom“We love this venue. It is a beautiful space for parties or weddings if you book enough in advance to get a slot. The rooms have views over the park, the events team are really helpful. The ceilings have stunning wedgewood style designs. There is an air of faded grandeur that we really loved. The team recommend reliable caterers and a lighting business who know how to make the best of the venue. Highly recommended.”

-
Denbies Vineyard Hotel
● Open“Four of us began our visit by riding in the little carriages that are towed by a lovely land rover. There is some commentary as you move along and when you get to the highest part of the vineyard you are invited out of the carriage to be served some beautiful fizz. Maybe about twenty minutes after taking in the wonderful views we began the short journey back down to the main building . We had a little while to waste before dinner in the hotel restaurant, so we went to the stepping stones pub . On arrival at the hotel restaurant we were greeted by very friendly staff. The food was wonderful. The day was a great success and actually felt like a mini holiday.”
