It is an old build so there are a lot of stairs and no tea making facilities in the room but guest are welcome to use the large kitchen to make drinks. Disabled access is probably one of the best we have experienced at a zoo, although more disabled parking would be beneficial. The play areas are excellent, the staff and keepers are friendly and knowledgeable they obviously love their work. Pricing may seem a tad high for a small zoo but you can literally spend a whole day here so overall it's actually reasonable. Go, you will enjoy it.”

I was in shock and the receptionists were FANTASTIC, they jumped into action straight away and made sure both me and my boy were okay. The vet and the nurse were also fantastic! Our dog has severe issues at the vets, which added to my concern in the situation (and his, most likely!) but they were so very kind and patient with him. It ended up being not too bad of a wound, and I can't express how grateful I am to them for helping both him and myself in a really stressful situation. I was a bit of a mess when I arrived and was MUCH calmer by the end of the visit, which is entirely down to the wonderful staff being so attentive and caring with my boy. Based on this visit, I could not recommend Alder's enough :)”

Prior to lockdown, I was invited for baby groups shortly after my son was born and was astonished at how lovely and welcoming the staff were. During lockdown, the caring staff frequently got in touch with me to check in on my wellbeing and sent me care packages for myself and my baby which were so well received. As a new mother in the middle of a pandemic, having that support and care was heart warming and I'm extremely grateful for that. I have been visiting Ihsan weekly since then for Stay and Play Sessions which my 11 month old really enjoys! The staff are welcoming, caring and supportive each week and always try their best to ensure we are happy and go out of their way to provide activities specifically for my sons interests which is touching! Thank you to all the wonderful Staff and Volunteers at Ihsan for making such an unusual time in the world feel safe and for being there for us!”
