● Closed“Ordered a 3 course Sunday lunch which I collected. Starters was a prawn cocktail with focaccia and butter followed by roast beef, roast turkey, massive yorkshire pudding, 5 separate veggies, including honeyed parsnips and lashings of gravy. Followed by lemon meringue and ice cream, which we ate a couple of hours later. My wife said it was the best roast she had ever had, and I had to agree. Well done the Chequers Inn at Heaverham”

We asked to cut the chicken wrap in two and they were so kind to cut it nicely! The service in general was amazing and so kind. Also the place was very pretty with the gold frame without the paintings :) And I really really enjoy baklava! They said they prepare it for 4 days. The quality was so much higher from other baklava on the street. I would like to come back for sure if I want to have Greek food!”

The food was exceptional, exciting and innovative and for the first time in a longtime my wife and I just basked in the amazing food and ambience. The whole setup was so wonderful the time flew by. The cocktails were incredible too. We were never without anything and we left feeling like we had gotten a bargain. Also Monica walked through the restaurant and said hello after I waved like a dork. ● Open“Such a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat. Atmosphere is cosy and friendly, coffee is always good and served with a fresh carafe of cucumber water. Amazing selection of fresh made breakfast/brunch or lunch dishes which you will struggle to choose from because of the wonderful choices on offer. Today I really enjoyed their smoked salmon, scrambled egg and crushed avocado on sourdough toast with dill dressing. It was so tasty. The smoked salmon wasn't too strong or too salty, the scrambled egg was not over cooked but moist and soft and the dill dressing was not in anyway overpowering, which was fantastic because I'm not a great dill fan. I've also heard (but as of yet not experienced) their weekend tapas evenings are really delicious and looking at their selection of wines on offer it looks like something I definitely need to try. All in all I'd recommend you give it a try because I know you won't be disappointed. Oh and to top it all the staff are lovely.”
