“Been a Gym member here for years. It's very small, but perfect if you want to use good equipment mostly on your own. The staff are all very friendly and on hand if needed. Added Bonus is the Barn for lovely coffee and the girls are great.”

Very clean and comfortable couldn’t ask for a more. beds are very comfy slept so well . Was a great experience for the children to see how it was to be evacuated in the war as a child . And the sort of food that was rationed . The museum was so interesting and the people telling us all about the types of things that happened . Kids loved it and us teachers did to . “Had lots issues with an old boiler and they were very quick to come out to check it and repair it each time it broke down, and when it finally conked out they managed to fit us a new one within 2 days. Also had all the radiators replaced and guys did a very good job”

As a reviewer of car audio by Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic, Sony and Clarion, as well as home cinema, I was flown to Las Vegas for the CES show and thrice to Japan. At one time, the home audio and car audio department had a bit of rivalry as to which department could be more stunning in their entertainment of their honoured guests. We were taken to a Japanese restaurant in the Tokyo equivalent of the Hollywood Hills of LA and treated to a meal in a private room, served by women in £40,000 silken layered garb, that cost our hosts £1,800 a head. I was shocked when I found out years later! They even had a museum of Samurai armour, all older than 500 years, or "it wasn't old enough.." The point is, this sumo-sized reviewer actually knows his Japanese food. RIGHT..REVIEW: First, I apologise for not coming in sooner! I have followed the place for ever. Used to sit down for posh fish and chips when the top end chippy next door had it as their restaurant! Then, it opened and I was a bit taken aback. No Ikura? No Unagi? (That's the lovely salmon eggs and the only cooked sushi..eel) I could understand that there was no sea urchin roe...that's serious sushi logistics from sea to plate..but there were only three kinds of fish? Finally I went to dinner, as MeJulie was having a steak with her girl chum from work..and GOT IT! Fact is, this place has taken the most brilliant set of choices and is serving the freshest, best quality and ONLY in the varieties they can guarantee... so no fancy ebi shrimp, nor clams..but that is to miss the point. The quality and presentation is SO Nihonjin, it's amazing. I had Yakitori, and they were served on a slice of REAL BANANA LEAF! Nearly all places use a plastic sheet-alike, even good ones. And there was a garnish so seasonal it was perfect. Pea shoots and two tiny little edible flowers were there. The sushi was perfectly cut, meltingly fresh and even the crockery it was served on was delightful. OISHI DES! (means YUMMY!) The Miso soup I started with, was ridiculously good! Big lumps of tofu, loads of seaweed..rather than it being rationed..and rich and flavourful of quality Miso paste. Great omen for what was to come. The seaweed salad (theme here, me likey algae!) was perfect and totally set off by toasted sesame..and it all added up to the most darn AUTHENTIC Japanese food had in the UK since the Oriental City closed in Colindale! I was so blown away, I had to ask who was the genius nipponophile? It turns out, it's at least three of them..and the chefs are deeply skilled. I will return and try more of the cooked items..it is thriving new eatery and I feel lucky to have it on my doorstep. Totally recommended. GOCHIOSOSAMA DE'SHTA! Domo arigato gozaimas.”

“Back before I became folically challenged I used to visit here every 4 to 6 weeks. I usually find that after 1PM on a Sunday was a good time to go as the queues tend to die down. The staff are all professional and even do a fantastic job with my 4 year old sons haircut, who can't sit still to save his life. Mark of a good kids haircut is if you dont get a rollicking from the missus when you get back home. Truly impressive!”

“We went to the store yesterday to buy a tank and various essentials/accessories to prepare for my daughters first small pet fish. They had a great variety of products including lots of well-known character ornaments to put into the tank. The staff in aquatics were very helpful and ensured we got everything set up correctly for the fish we planned to buy the following day. Very informative and friendly. Today we took our daughter to choose the fish. The staff member, Matt, served us and he was amazing with my 5 year old daughter. He went out of his way to choose specific fish for her so she could tell the difference between them and was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much for making my daughters day! Went back a week later to get more fish and two shrimp. This time served by another gentleman with brown hair. He was really helpful and amazing at his job. Very informative about every aspect of the shrimp and fish. Thank you again for your help!”

“Olivio's never disappoints! The staff are friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much for them. The ambience is very cosy and comfortable. The food is always finger licking good, portion size is always on the generous size and our plates are so clean you can see your reflection! As an added bonus you can bring your own alcohol! “Popped in for a quick lunch on a freezing Friday. Only one member of staff behind the bar and ferrying food, but she did a brilliant job and was extremely friendly. Food was surprisingly good and while not 'cheap', I think it was worth it. Not busy for a Friday lunch, which is a little worrying. I hope to visit again soon.”

“Don't understand the low rating of this place. Absolutely 10/10 evening. The food was absolutely delicious, not your average dishes! The service of the staff was impeccable, cannot fault it at all. The lady's who waited the table were so attentive and polite, unfortunately didn't get names. We also ordered shisha and it lasted the whole evening, fantastic flavours recommended from the gentleman serving us. “Pleasantly surprised by this hidden little cafe inside King George Recreation Ground. Food was surprisingly good quality. Cooked breakfast is big and delicious, scrambled eggs come with salad and pitta bread. Coffee was good. It's spacious inside with lots of heavy wooden table and chairs. Also dog friendly. Recommended!”

“My first time visiting the service department of Skoda Citygate Watford. Was greeted by Nimo, what a lovely lady, really warm, welcoming and engaging. Knew exactly what was happening to the car and said that it wouldn’t take too long to be done. 90 minutes later I got the call to say it was all done and ready to be collected. On my return, another warm welcome and greeting and had a talk about my car and if I had any issues that you know we are just a phone call away. We completed the paperwork and walked me over to the car. No fuss, no drama just “Great service”Thank you Nimo & Citygate Skoda Watford.”
