“I booked Shelley's for Fathers Day and was really pleased I did! I loved the new décor, especially the 'flower wall' and the beautiful mirrored pictures. The food was delicious and considering Shelley (the owner) was one man down (one of the chefs) on a busy day the service was impeccable. I ordered the chicken wings starters and lamb shank for main. All the food was piping hot and the lamb shank was so tender, it was falling off the bone. The side dishes was fairly generous! No request was too big for the waitress staff either. The restaurant was playing some fab tunes in the background, not too low and not too loud and there was plenty of room between tables, no over crowding and it was nice to walk outside if you needed some fresh air or a cigarette. I cannot wait to go back and try the pork belly and have a dessert this time (if I am not too full!) Thanks again for making Fathers day a hit for my dad and my boyfriend. Laura”

“Down to earth pub, with busy bar due to its good value prices and excellent value meal deals, that fill you up! Yesterday was curry club, got naan, 2 poppadoms, chutney, curry and rice with a JD and coke for £8.10 my wife had scampi, chips and mushy peas with Bacardi and coke bill was under £16 as you can see enjoyed every bit. Needed the walk home, properly full.”

I called and spoke to Karen ten minutes before closing time and she was able to get a bunch ready and delivered about an hour after closing time. “This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had in the UK. The butterfly king prawns are amazing (You must try these) and the quarter duck is a good portion. Food is always piping hot and you can tell it’s fresh/good ingredients. I would recommend collecting just to make sure you get it on time and just as it’s been cooked. When I am not in town no Chinese has matched this. Well done Chopsticks !”
