The General Eliott
“This is a lovely pub in a lovely location. Staff are super friendly and the food is very good. There's good parking and you can even pull up a boat, if that's your style, along the canal that's right by the beer garden. Highly recommended!”
The White Bear
“Really great place to visit. Excellent well presented freshly cooked food. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Plus there's a theatre upstairs for extra entertainment.”
The Salisbury Hotel
“This is the best roast dinner I’ve had in ages!! The beef, pork, potatoes and veg were cooked perfectly, but the prize has to go to the gravy, it’s absolutely fantastic. The staff were great too, so I’d definitely recommend the Sunday Lunch and it’s also great value.”
The Fulham Mitre
“Friend brought me here twice now and it's just great. Food is superb as are the staff.. the sort of place I thought didn t exist any more...going again Sunday...can't wait..”
Lady Mildmay
“Great vibe and food, particularly the vegetarian options. I've had consistently excellent food here at very reasonable prices. The beers good too, with a regularly changed line up of real ales. All in all, with good service too, this is a local gem.”
Royal George
“my favourite pub in the world. amazing atmosphere, nice wood fire, super friendly staff and delicious beer at a reasonable price all set in a cosey old fashioned setting. cant beat it.”
Royal Standard
“Really friendly and chatty staff who went out of their way to be helpful. More of a bar vibe then pub”
The Black Prince
“I went to the black prince today for a family Sunday lunch. During Covid you worry about whether it's safe to go to the pubs etc. However it was clear to see that they have taken control of the situation perfectly. The tables were continuously cleaned, there were facemasks at the door in case you'd forgotten it, the toilets checked regularly and I even saw the staff check their temperature, the care taken shows that they care about the staff and their customers. The waitress knew exactly who was arriving and had a list of reserved tables the communication between her and the kitchen was brilliant. When moving around the pub you had to wear your mask but when seated with your family and eating it was fine to remove it. On arrival I was greeted by all staff members in the pub, in particular Jazeena was extremely friendly and helpful, she is certainly an asset to the pub. As mentioned above we had the Sunday lunch, between us we had the pork belly, lamb and chicken and these were all absolutely beautifully prepared, the food was delivered to the table hot and the service was efficient and effective. We were asked if we needed anything further and if we were enjoying the meal and even got a doggy bag to take home. We all left completely content. The atmosphere was pleasent and family friendly, there was a TV for the sports fans and some music playing at a reasonable level too. An ideal place to take the family. 5 stars from us. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you very much for a pleasent afternoon.”
The Pilot, Greenwich
“Really nice pub, great beers on offer and a lovely menu including some vegan options (the burger was delicious). We booked with a group and got the little seating area up the stairs, chairs could do with a refresh as they were a bit grotty but everything else was lovely.”
Grind
“An excellent coffee shop, with a pleasant downstairs, I've been coming here everyday for coffee during my trip, and it's been great every time. The staff are always friendly, and are incredibly competent during morning rushes.”
Leopard Lounge Hair & Beauty Salon
“I LOVE having my hair done at Leopard Lounge!! Firstly, the stylists are excellent at their jobs, but not only that, they are friendly and helpful. They make you feel so welcome and most importantly they remember your name! Their prices are clear and competitive- I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”
Waitrose & Partners Sanderstead
“My favourite place for groceries! It's not a massive branch bit they stock pretty much everything and since it's around residential area, it's mostly families visiting. I love bringing my little one to do a bit relaxed shopping. Plenty of parking spaces available.”
Tian Tian Market
“The family was told of this place and we went for a visit to check what it was all about. The selection of items on sale was of a good range, more than enough for what you'd need I'd reckon. The place itself was in a good location, not far from South Quay, the interior was very modern, plenty of space to move around unlike some of oriental markets. The staff were nice and friendly, getting on with things. Only drawback, the prices were slightly above average due to I'm guessing the location. Getting here is easy enough, South Quay via Docklands Light Railway (DLR) would be your best option but Admirals Way (Stop B/U) if you're thinking of taking the buses via D8. If you don't mind walking, Canary Wharf via Jubilee, over South Quay Footbridge is also a route. Deffo will give it another visit if nearby.”
AKDENIZ SUPERMARKET WALTHAMSTOW
“I live around the area and this small supermarket is a total blessing, they got a huge variety of food and drinks, the guys working there are nice plus the closing times are late in the night, definitely 5 starts.”
Local Supermarket Leyton
“Great guys always helpful I travel to go to this shop past others”
Royal Garden Hotel
“We were eager to sample the cuisine at the Royal Gardens hotel after hearing rave reviews about their food. As we entered the establishment, a friendly and well-informed bartender greeted us and provided expert advice on drink choices before leading us to the restaurant. The attentive staff went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable, and the food was simply heavenly, showcasing the expertise of the talented chef and their team. To cap off a perfect meal, we sipped on a delightful English sparkling wine, leaving us excited to return for another indulgent experience. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the outstanding staff who made our visit truly exceptional!”
Lakeland
“Great shop. Lots of unusual Scandinavian artefacts for kitchen, food stuff, gifts. Split into 2 floors, with lift, you can shop with confidence. Find that something special to give. I found it to be a bit pricey, but it is a specialist shop.”
Great Fosters - part of The Alexander Hotel Collection
“This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel. We only came here for a meal but it was very lovely and relaxing sitting overlooking the fountain. Staff were very friendly and professional. The grounds are stunning and sprawling. Modern sculptures against the traditional topiary and gardens contrast so well. Dog friendly. Lots of parking spaces. A hidden gem.”
The Runnymede on Thames Hotel and Spa
“Lovely hotel, gorgeous location on the river. Staff are super courteous and go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. The gym is very well equipped and maintained, and there are lots of conference rooms.”
Woodlands Park Hotel
“We had our wedding at Woodlands Park Hotel and the event coordination was exceptional. The day went better than smoothly and the friendliness, exuberance and efficiency of the staff on the day really wowed us. The venue speaks for itself and the attention to detail was faultless. We would recommend Woodlands Park Hotel (and in particular, Cheyenne Crombie, the event coordinator) without hesitation. It was a wonderful day, the communications leading up to the day were superb and the day went without hitch or glitch.”
Sopwell House
“I was gifted a maternity massage at the cotton mill spa. I have always enjoyed having a massage, but being pregnant with my first baby I was a little worried about having any treatment. I was really impressed by the treatment I received and wonderful staff that made my trip extra special. Tia especially was very friendly and informative. Thank you :) I would highly recommend”
Hartsfield Manor
“We had our wedding at Hartsfield Manor and honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough! From the first meeting to view the venue, they made us feel so special and went above and beyond in everything, making sure the day was so personal to us, the wedding coordinators are so organised and on it throughout the planning process and were brilliant on the day! Everyone who stayed said it felt like such a friendly place. The house and the grounds are beautiful and we couldn’t have hoped for a better day - highly highly recommended!!!”
Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa
“We were lucky enough to have afternoon tea here and it was utterly brilliant. The staff were super friendly and the service was great - there was a great selection of sandwiches, pastries, scones, cakes and puddings and we were thoroughly stuffed afterwards. The food was all absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!”
Town Hall Hotel & Apartments
“WOW its not your typical Eastend Hotel. The service was second to none. The staff were all very well dressed, friendly, courteous and very professional. We stayed in the executive suite which was just amazing, kitchenette was as big as a normal kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine then into the lounge/bedroom boasting really clean and extremely comfortable seating and bed loved the integrated wardrobe then lastly the best ensuite I have ever seen in London so guys and gals this is my must stay Eastend resort.”
The Curtain
“The hotel went out of their way to change my mind. My first impression was not great, luckily my second was nothing like it. Staff were super friendly and pro-active. The room was quite something, well designed, a little dark but very interesting and well stocked. The amenities were very good. The whole experience was comfortable and effortless, the rooftop pool a little cold but what can you expect this time of year with the insane winds. Tasty cocktails on the roof with a great view and a very well rounded buffet breakfast.”
Marygreen Manor Hotel
“I booked an afternoon tea for nine of us for two friends’ birthdays. I cannot express how helpful the staff were in arranging the booking and arranging for dietary requirements and on the day how friendly and helpful they all were. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the atmosphere at Marygreen Manor was warm and so Christmassy. Would definitely recommend coming here for any special occasion. Thank you for giving us a lovely afternoon x”
The Harvard Inn
“Met friends for dinner and must congratulate the chef on the food. The terrine and homemade pies were superb. Lovely short pastry and plenty of filling. The young servers were friendly and approachable.”
