Chequers Inn
● Closed“Ordered a 3 course Sunday lunch which I collected. Starters was a prawn cocktail with focaccia and butter followed by roast beef, roast turkey, massive yorkshire pudding, 5 separate veggies, including honeyed parsnips and lashings of gravy. Followed by lemon meringue and ice cream, which we ate a couple of hours later. My wife said it was the best roast she had ever had, and I had to agree. Well done the Chequers Inn at Heaverham”

DUNE SPICE & SHISHA LOUNGE
● Closed“I came at a time where it wasn't busy so I was able to stay for however long I wanted which is amazing if you've come to smoke shisha and just chill. The workers will treat you with such good care and they'd check up on you and go the extra mile to satisfy your needs. I highly recommend this lounge and will be coming again very soon 10/10”

Cucina Italian Restaurant
● Closed“We had pizza, calzone and tiramisu. It was lovely, quite busy and lots of birthdays going on around us. Only niggle is that we wish the tiramisu was a bit sweeter. There is a bump/step to get over to get in and toilets are downstairs, so not particularly accessible.”

Café Amisha
● Closed“Uanama bellll!! Top, Top, Top!! Cafe' Amisha is the best Italian Restaurant in South-East London. All ingredients come directly from Italy, and all the chefs are Italian. All the waiters and Paola are incredibly kind and attentive. The main Chef, Leo, aka "The Maestro", is impressive. He cooks traditional recipes from Apulia and nationwide Italian food. Fregola, Pizza (ask for tuna and cipolla!) and fish are top at Amisha's cafe. At Easter time, ask for a Pastiera, a traditional Southern Italy Easter cake made. Maestro's pastiera is as good as my mum's. They also have a shop for Italian food which has really good stuff and Italian delicatessens. The owner, Francesco, is amazing. He is the most friendly and the nicest person ever. He is a natural people person, always smiling and happy. He also saved my life during the first lockdown and the food shortage. I bougth everything I needed there. He and his staff also delivered food to my place at any hour, including regular fresh fish deliveries.. He is also actively volunteering to help the NHS and the local community. A living hero, in a few words. He truly deserves a half-body statue at the nearby SPA garden.”

St John Bread and Wine
● Closed“No one can do what St. JOHN does as consistently well as JOHN does it. Everything is delicious, no matter what you choose. Make sure to make a reservation! It is priceless to have a place you can come back to in a beloved city that upholds the same high quality time and time again. It was a pleasure to bring my partner for his first time. We promised to come back before we leave for home. The chicken liver with brandied prune was my favorite. Our other small pick Smoked Cod's Roe, Egg and Cress was knockout. For large plates we dabbled with a vegetarian option. I was nervous as I ordered the Roast Squash, Sheep's Curd and Watercress, but “Wow!” This dish was perfect and satisfying. The duck leg was awesome! Less chive with the aioli might have been better, but a bold choice none the less. A note on beverages, the sidecar was amazing and perfectly balanced. Can’t wait to return many more times!”

KOI Ramen Bar (Brixton Arches)
● Closed“I always know I'm going to have a great meal when I come here. Friendly staff and food is served so quickly. I'm a big fan of the Naked Ramen and either the chicken or pork gyozas. Definitely try the matcha ice cream too if you're up for a dessert! If you want a ramen bowl with all the extras you'll pay about £12 - £15 but you can go for the ramen as it comes for £8 and be more than satisfied.”

Ma Cuisine
● Closed“A cosy French resto in Kew! Their menu is written in English and offers elegant, tasty dishes such as roasted Barbary duck breast with cardamom jus and peach and lettuce. Their starters of rabbit and pork terrine with gherkins and raspberry vinaigrette .. simply delish! There’s outdoor seating and cosy indoor seating during winter. Interesting interiors, unusual French ambience. If you don’t have time for a Eurostar ride across the channel but you’re craving the delicacies of French cuisine, this is the place. Open for both lunch and dinner. On-street parking. Just a short walk from Kew station if coming by train. Strongly recommended.”

Mere
● Closed“Our meal was 2 hours of sheer food escapism. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and felt it.the entire team were incredibly attentive and welcoming, but not overbearing. The food was exceptional, exciting and innovative and for the first time in a longtime my wife and I just basked in the amazing food and ambience. The whole setup was so wonderful the time flew by. The cocktails were incredible too. We were never without anything and we left feeling like we had gotten a bargain. Also Monica walked through the restaurant and said hello after I waved like a dork. Thank you so much.”

Resta Coffee
● Open299 Baring Road, London SE12 0DZ, United Kingdom“Finally our “local” has arrived!! Coffee is perfect and the staff are incredibly friendly (including the owner). The toasties and cakes have all been delicious. The environment feels nice and cozy. I haven’t tried the cannoli because I’ve been put off by the proximity to the till and exposed (but that’s probably just me being too fussy!). ⭐️ 10/10 stars every time ⭐️”

Smiley faces and big welcomes as soon as you step through the door and the quality continues right through each course until you decide to leave after a couple of pints and warning up by the fire. The Plough
● Closed“This is definitely one of the nicest place I have been to. I have only been there for a meal twice, and can honestly say that I gave never been disappointed with the meals I had. The first time I went there I gad the roast lamb with vegetables, unfortunately when I got there yesterday the only option available was the roast beef, as the Lamb abd Chicken had all gone & boy oh boy! was I glad. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection by Ben (The Owner) I would suggest phoning at 12.00pm (when they open) or a day or two in advance if possible, to book a table , and get there early.. Ben and his staff are extremely pleasant, & can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience of eating at his Pub/Restaurant. I would definitely go again. My thanks to everyone at The Plough in Basted, Kent . Until the next time..”
