“Lovley stay. The room and bathroom were very clean. Excellent location, right in a shopping centre surrounded with places to eat. Parking free which is a bonus. Staff were very friendly and even left a balloon and sweets in the room when they found out it was my daughter 6th birthday!”

“My sons have attend the nursery one is shy and the other very lively and not so shy! The nursery has been really good in teaching and using creativity. My son is always bring home drawings and creations and loves seeing them at home. He really loved a counting book that nursery made that he brought home. Really helped with his counting. Staff are friendly and responsive to parents questions.”

“I was impressed about the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere. I saw reviews about the music being too loud or but there was nothing like that when we got there. We had tripe soup, turkey soup, chicken with polenta, pizza, and papanași and I can say all of them were amazing. Would definitely go again.”

“Good to see this place back open after the lockdown. Outdoor seating is 4 tables and they do takeaway. Nice place to stop for a coffee on caterham high street if you want to avoid the chain coffee shops. Staff are friendly and good to see COVID precautions adhered to rigorously.”

“After taking a break from this pub due to the previous management, I visited last night after work and was very impressed with the ambiance, food and great Guiness. This really in pub terms the equivalence of an Oasis. It's like an English country pub, but in Croydon. The vibe is relaxed with enough people to create a good atmosphere, without the craziness of other Croydon pubs. To eat, the had the stew which at £8.50 was amazing value, the main menu is pizza. To drink we had Guiness which was excellent, the wine selection is very good as well. The service was excellent, both efficient and friendly. The other customers, who seemed to be locals, were friendly and welcoming, but not imposing so we could enjoy our drinks and food at our table, and when going to the bar talk and meet other locals. Highly recommended for those who like pubs as pubs, not flashy wine bars, or sports bars, great food and drink, served well by friendly people with a local vibe, but not cliquey. For sure, we will be visiting again,”

“Shout out to my main man Mr China Wok. Ever since new ownership the food has much improved the beef previously was chewy and salty now its tender delicious I particularly like this with the curry and boiled rice box combination”

“I always love the franchise of Wetherspoon. I was in Croydon and I had to try it. It never disappoints. Great veg wrap, the idea of bottomless coffee makes it even better. The George-JD is beautiful with books and antique look. It's huge and therefore you have 2 counters in here. Must visit!”
