“Delicious sushi, nice outdoor seating area, excellent customer service, lovely lunch. Highly recommend if you’re in the area”
You Me Sushi
“Plenty of options for good sushi at affordable price. Highly recommend! Great staff”
Sushinoen
“I cannot recommend this place enough. Me and my fiancé actually came here on our 1st date, so of course 1yr later we had to return as we loved it so much. If you want top quality but affordable sushi this is the place to go to. Our bill came upto nearly £100 this included drinks as well. Really cute and chilled place, the staff are helpful and friendly. You don't have to wait long for the food. I would say though that the tables are not big enough to fit multiple things on there once you have your drinks there, condiments and 2 plates its already tight. So we only ordered 2 dishes at a time and took breaks. If you like to eat alot like we do then save it for a special occasion as £100 isn't just a normal day expenses, but if you are a 2,3 plates kind of person it is a lovely place to go for a meal. An example of costing we ordered a pink lady (8pcs) £12.95 for top quality sushi that is value for money. Can't wait to go next year for our 2 year anniversary!”
Aimen’s Sushi
“The best sushi I have ever had. Tastes so fresh and it is a great value for money. I would highly recommend everyone to try aimen sushi as I have not found any place better. The prawn katsu is to die for; it has the best curry sauce! Thank you aimen sushi for existing!! ♥️♥️”
Hot Stone, Angel, Islington
“Quite the place. We ate there using vouchers for the six course meal and it was FANTASTIC - sublime sashimi and beef, and you could taste the freshness and quality of each ingredient. But it is not a place for a spontaneous pop in - serious saving up required (let alone the advance booking that is required). Not sure we could go again, but very glad to have had the experience.”
Rice Republic
“Delicious high quality Asian food with a wonderful menu and great service. I’m pretty fussy about asian food having grown up in Australia. Restaurant has a great atmosphere and doesn’t feel like you are on the busy high street. Also reasonably priced for London.”
Bento Bab
“Great and authentic Korean food. Super fast service in seating and in food preparation. I confirmed with the staff that all the chicken and beef dishes on the menu are HALAL. We went at about 6:30pm and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table despite it being very busy. The food is ordered via your own mobile phone by scanning the QR code located on the table – but if you have any questions about the food the staff are very friendly in helping out as they did with us. The food arrived pretty quick after ordering even in a packed house. Great tasting food. Very friendly staff. They were kind, efficient and hard working. One of the staff members kindly explained what each of the kimchi we ordered were and let us know the best way to enjoy it with our meal - even in a busy restaurant she took the time out to have a conversation with us so we could have a better experience. Bento Bap is located very close to Aldgate East Station however if you want to save some money on train travel, I recommend getting off at Whitechapel Station and walking down as it would be cheaper since Whitechapel is in Zone 2. Overall, great experience, great food, great staff. Highly recommend. Thank you very much for a lovely time Bento Bap!”
Pidgin
“Fantastically creative menu with total attention to detail! Every dish had something special going on, with ingredients that I found harmonised within and throughout courses. There are very talented chefs here, and our waiters were friendly and helpful. I was possibly expecting Pidgin to be over-hyped but I was proven wrong. Definitely worth a visit.”
Ocean Basket Bromley
“The food is amazing and bring back memories from southern Africa. Great service and reasonably prices. Go and give them a try you will not be disappointed that is if you like anything seafood... thanks for a lovely lunch.”
Ten Ten
“Food was very good. Spicing right for the symbols on the menu. Portions were generous and mix of ingredients was up at the premium end - plenty of meat and prawns in the Singapore noodles for instance. Logistics were easy - call in with order, time to collect and it was ready then and well packed. All in all an excellent meal.”
KOI Ramen Bar (Tooting Market)
“Small menu, which is the way it should be, and excellent ramen. There's not much seating so grab a table when you can. Food is pretty cheap as well.”
Marugame Udon
“Brilliant place to eat. Low cost and pretty decent food. Will deffo be going back in the future. Service was quick and easy. The ice cream machine was a bit dodgy tho.”
OKAN Brixton Village
“A must-stop for Japanese food lovers! Was so enticed by the menu, succinct and authentic menu full of lots of tasty options. The curry udon was fantastic, filling and charmingly presented. I could eat so many of the onigiri, so simple yet so delicious! Love the street food vibe with all the little chairs and tables. Great staff and service, and quick too. Can’t wait to come back.”
OKA
“Delicious Japanese food! One of the bests in London for the quality, price, ambiance, and service. Sashimi is fresh, rolls are flavorful and creative. Good sake too. Highly recommended!”
Benihana Covent Garden
“This is more than just food, it's an experience The lunch menu was very well priced and was more than sufficient for everyone in our group. The potions may look smaller in the pictures as you will receive the food and eat it while the other food cooks. Also the drinks menu seemed good.”
Kakki katsu
“Food here is amazing. Came here 5-6 times and never been disappointed. Food quality is really good, especially compared to its price it is really cheap. Must come place if you are local”

“QUALIFCATION PARAGRAPH, SKIP TO NEXT ONE TO AVOID MY BRAGGING! As a reviewer of car audio by Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic, Sony and Clarion, as well as home cinema, I was flown to Las Vegas for the CES show and thrice to Japan. At one time, the home audio and car audio department had a bit of rivalry as to which department could be more stunning in their entertainment of their honoured guests. We were taken to a Japanese restaurant in the Tokyo equivalent of the Hollywood Hills of LA and treated to a meal in a private room, served by women in £40,000 silken layered garb, that cost our hosts £1,800 a head. I was shocked when I found out years later! They even had a museum of Samurai armour, all older than 500 years, or "it wasn't old enough.." The point is, this sumo-sized reviewer actually knows his Japanese food. RIGHT..REVIEW: First, I apologise for not coming in sooner! I have followed the place for ever. Used to sit down for posh fish and chips when the top end chippy next door had it as their restaurant! Then, it opened and I was a bit taken aback. No Ikura? No Unagi? (That's the lovely salmon eggs and the only cooked sushi..eel) I could understand that there was no sea urchin roe...that's serious sushi logistics from sea to plate..but there were only three kinds of fish? Finally I went to dinner, as MeJulie was having a steak with her girl chum from work..and GOT IT! Fact is, this place has taken the most brilliant set of choices and is serving the freshest, best quality and ONLY in the varieties they can guarantee... so no fancy ebi shrimp, nor clams..but that is to miss the point. The quality and presentation is SO Nihonjin, it's amazing. I had Yakitori, and they were served on a slice of REAL BANANA LEAF! Nearly all places use a plastic sheet-alike, even good ones. And there was a garnish so seasonal it was perfect. Pea shoots and two tiny little edible flowers were there. The sushi was perfectly cut, meltingly fresh and even the crockery it was served on was delightful. OISHI DES! (means YUMMY!) The Miso soup I started with, was ridiculously good! Big lumps of tofu, loads of seaweed..rather than it being rationed..and rich and flavourful of quality Miso paste. Great omen for what was to come. The seaweed salad (theme here, me likey algae!) was perfect and totally set off by toasted sesame..and it all added up to the most darn AUTHENTIC Japanese food had in the UK since the Oriental City closed in Colindale! I was so blown away, I had to ask who was the genius nipponophile? It turns out, it's at least three of them..and the chefs are deeply skilled. I will return and try more of the cooked items..it is thriving new eatery and I feel lucky to have it on my doorstep. Totally recommended. GOCHIOSOSAMA DE'SHTA! Domo arigato gozaimas.”
KOKORO Uxbridge
“My overall rating was high because you have to respect that they have a concept, stick to it and do it pretty well. 4 main dishes with either rice or noodles plus some extra bits if you're feeling adventurous. Good price for food on the go and ready to eat hot.”
The Sushi Co - Ealing
“One of the best sushi places I’ve been to in a long time, enjoyed it with friends and family at home. They have a large variety and if you want to try all, they have a selection box too. Very easy to order and great customer service. Lovely presentation, highly recommend! Next time, I defo want to try the goli soda drinks too.”
Gourmet Sushi, Notting Hill Gate
“Unexpectedly excellent! Doesn't look like much at first glance and you wouldn't think it's that good, but the food is wonderful and the quality to price ratio is amazing! Large, quality portions for cheap prices”
Wasabi Sushi & Bento
“I’m a regular and always coming in. The service is outstanding especially the guy named Sab I finally got his name after all this time .”
Kokoro Woking

Island Poké Wimbledon
“Good healthy food in the high street! This is a gem in an otherwise mass of fast food restaurants that have seemed to have started to take over Wimbledon. Tasty, friendly staff and nice environment for a sit down bit of lunch. Well worth checking out!”
Uncle Lim's South Croydon
“Tasty food with good prices. Pretty decor and cosy feel. Friendly waitress so can't ask for more. Wish they did a few more choices of sushi rolls”
OKA Chelsea
“Their food is soooo goood. Best Asian restaurant in London. There waitress were so nice and so helpful even when we arrived late and 2 min before the kitchen closed yet they still served us. You need to try this restaurant, it’s a must !!!!”
Sticks'n'Sushi Chelsea
“Great casual sushi experience. The vibe was great, specially as it started getting busy. Sushi was unapologeticly not as authentic but delivered great flavour and combinations. Everything was well prepared and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was always around and happy to assist with everything we needed. Wine list was unexpectedly comprehensive and the cocktails were very interesting. Definitely would recommend for a casual night out.”
Morinoya
“New favourite sushi restaurant in London!! Small but very authentic, only a few tables which makes it more special. We loved everything we ordered from the menu, no exceptions and that never happens, shout out to the chefs. The quality of the fish is really good and the ratio fish/rice in the sushi is amazing! Loved the miso soup, prawn gyozas, the temakis were great as well as the crispy prawn roll uramaki. Expensive but worth it. Special mention to the Spanish waitress that served us, she was helpful and really nice. We will be back for sure.”
Azuma
“Good authentic food at a good price. Fast service in a good way. I just wish they labelled some dishes as vegan instead of vegetarian but I went with my gut as to what is generally vegan in Japanese restaurants.”
