"I had great takeaway from here about 7-8 months ago but just now was delivered an extraordinarily disappointing wonton soup and roast pork char siu BBQ. The prawn and ginger dumplings I got were delicious but couldn’t make up for lukewarm, ketchup-flavoured pork I had to saw through with a steak knife and tough, gristly, unseasoned wonton meat. Also, this supposed-bbq pork was on a bed of sad, watery kale. I know we’re in a recession and food costs are higher but I’d honestly rather pay more for a decent quality ingredients and a chef who knows what they’re doing. What the hell happened, Rice Republic, you guys used to be decent? I have to go wash the bad flavours out of my mouth now."

"A Chinese restaurant making their own in-house dim sum. A rarity outside of Chinatown, and they are getting bonus points for that. The dumplings are the star of the menu but it's all good. Nice casual dining in experience and very friendly staff."
