Hotel AMANO Covent Garden
● Open“Happy we chose this hotel, very modern decor and always loved green tiles so biased on that already! Shower is amazing..no loss of pressure and hot water. The bed is perfect for me, it was too firm for my partner so unfortunately all different preferences. A previous review mentioned headboard back-light wouldn't turn off - there are different switches for those so maybe they missed them. Took photos at 6am and with the curtains drawn it's dark. Love the high ceilings and not a lot of curtain fabric as they are the worst for dust. All in all a great new hotel in a coveted location. Quiet too given the proximity to theatres.”

Down Hall Hotel & Spa
● OpenMatching Road, Hatfield Heath, Bishop's Stortford CM22 7AS, United Kingdom“- Amazing building and grounds. I was expecting it to be a tad run down given it’s an historic building but it really is in immaculate condition and we’ll decorated with a lot of character. Love the big room with chandelier and fireplace. - Food was all amazing. We had 3 course dinner & breakfast included in our stay, which was great value. If you were paying a la carte prices it’s a tad expensive, but everything we ate was superb. Upgraded to scallops and a steak one night that was as good as I’ve had! - We paid for the wet room spa which was brilliant. It’s £28pp but it’s small and you’re not in there with loads of other people. However, the hotel itself has a small sauna and steam room that’s free but isn’t well advertised. - lots of functions going on but we really couldn’t tell which is really impressive! Minor points for improvement: - We we’re told by the front desk that the walks around the grounds were open but they weren’t. - Some people at breakfast weren’t aware you can order things off a menu as well as the buffet. We ordered waffles one morning that took over 30 min and a bacon roll was forgotten - One of the pillows in the room was a bit old and yellowed under the protective cover, and the ceiling light was repaired with tape Overall a great stay and we’ll definitely recommend to friends!”

Chessington Azteca Hotel
● Open“Excellent 2 night stay at Azteca Hotel & 1 day in Chessington! Had a standard Monkey Temple room looking over Amazu. Checked in online & staff were very welcoming to help issue keys on arrival, via key collection screen. Room was lovely & clean, great theaming. Window which opened a little, easy to use air conditioning which was essential when it was 28degs outside. Quiet and temp to 19degs which felt quite cold. Kettle, tea & coffee. Staff are more than happy to provide extra milk if you run out. Fridge under the desk was really handy. Not sure all rooms have this & was a nice surprise. TV had most usual freeview channels & TV in kids bedroom area too. Kids bunks also had a third pull out bed. WiFi was very good compared to other places we’ve stayed at. We ate at the Safari restaurant, lovely with views into the Wanyama area – spot the zebras, ostriches or giraffes! You can also walk around the area & there’s a small kids playground. Ensure you book the restaurant online in peak season. Buffet breakfast was a hot selection (eggs, sausages, beans) , cereals, pain choc, fruit & toast with a selection of jams. Staff were on hand and very helpful. Dinner was fine, it was mainly tea for the kids, bit slow to be served, but food was nice. Hotel guests have access to Chessington park queuing from 8.45am via Azteca gate just by the Temple restaurant. Staff let you in from 9am with ticket and bag checks. A selection of rides are open for guests between 9-10am. We preorderd a photo digipass and found it great for a whole day of ride pics. Activate it at the first photo booth you use, where they’ll issue you a QR for the rest of the day. Azteca Gate closes at 10am, so return to the hotel is via Lodge Entrance. In the evening Amazu play area is open at 6pm until 7 or 8pm. The park will always be very busy over the Summer, the staff were doing their very best to keep things moving and up and running asap if there were any technical problems. Download the app to view ride times and plan what rides are most important. Dragon Fury and Vampire were queuing before 10am. Have fun!”

Grim's Dyke Hotel And Restaurant

Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel & Conference Centre, London
● Open“Stayed here whilst working nearby. Hotel has a very grand entrance/foyer. Room was fairly spacious and had everything we needed. Was a bit of a maze in the hotel, with lots of corridors. I went for a bit of a wander and there are lots of function rooms situated to the top of the hotel. When we stayed it was quiet so we had a good nights sleep. Staff were friendly and helped when our key card stopped working.”

Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel
● Open“We stayed for our Daughter's wedding which was at another venue. Our Daughter and bridesmaids used the Garden room to prepare for the wedding. Our special thanks go to Mary for the very thoughtful care and attention she showed to the girls by providing them with a very special breakfast experience that made it relaxed and stress free for the bridal party. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We also had to delay our booking time for the restaurant on the Friday night due to late arrivals. This was done with no problem and the food and service was excellent. Thank you!”

Chessington Safari Hotel
● Open“Really great themed hotel. Thought they hit the safari stay theme very well. We had a room with a view and saw animals as morning went on. The breakfast was good and the only part that was a shame was checking out at 10am as the animals were just coming to life after we had breakfast.”

The Park Hotel
● Open“Beautiful pub/restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. Recently hosted a semi private birthday party here for my son’s 1st birthday and I can’t thank the team enough for how smoothly it all ran - all the food was served together for 24 guests and everyone was saying how much they liked the food. The staff were very accommodating and helped us through the process of planning it all to make it just as we wanted it to be. Would definitely come back again and recommend.”

Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel
● Open“Excellent hotel with amazing staff. The room was large and clean. The restaurant buffet was well stocked and offered salad, 4 - 6 main options, with some delicious sides. There were 3 cakes on offer for desert. The breakfast buffet had a solid handful of juices, coffee, tea, and skimmed milk. There were croissants and several bread options, along with half dozen cereals, meats and cheeses, eggs, pancakes, beans, and various other options.”

Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow Airport
● Open“A convenient hotel if you need to be near the airport. Recently renovated, the rooms were clean and fresh. The beds were the most comfortable beds I slept on during our entire holiday. A full British breakfast was included with our room. Only downside was that the nearest tube station to get into the heart of London was quite a ways away. You have to take a bus several stops to get to the tube.”

Novotel London Heathrow Airport T1 T2 and T3
● Open“It is a great service for a good price. Definitely worth 5 out of 5. The staff are friendly. Clean room and good restaurant. However, I wasn’t happy about charging me £50 right at the beginning as an insurance. It wasn’t mentioned in my booking. I was surprised! I hope they made it clear.”

Novotel London Heathrow Airport - M4 Jct 4
● Open“Excellent staff, great bar, rooms are very comfortable. Really recommend it for business meetings. Shuttle bus to and from the airport. Great time there. If you need to go in city center its is convenient to catch the underground at the nearest underground station, easily reachable with a bus, you save a lot of time if you compare to go back to airport and catch there the underground. We just had a one night stay flying into and then out of Heathrow. We took the free bus there from the airport and it was about a 30 minute ride from Heathrow. The hotel is clean and modern, very typical Novotel property. They do have a nice bar for snacks and breakfast plus a full service restaurant. The service in the restaurant is great and the food is very good Italian. Clean, spacious room with full amenities. Very good restaurant, though it used to be small and intimate with lots of ambiance, and has been expanded and a bit too modern. Great hotel stay near airport. Good bus service from airport. Stayed here as most people do I imagine to be close to the airport before flying early the next day. Was a bit troublesome to get to - would have been better if walking distance from the airport - but when we got there we had a very nice meal in the Italian restaurant. Went for a swim afterwards, Room was good, very nice bathroom and shower, nice TV and comfy bed (but pillows too soft and no choice to change them). Would certainly go back if needing an overnighter. Stayed for a couple of days at this property while working with a client. The staff here was outstanding. You expect helpful and courteous, but there was an extra level of helpfulness and kindness to the service provided. We used the business conference services and for a very reasonable price, we had opening coffee/tea service, two catered breaks and a hot buffet lunch - all served in a very, very creative and appealing manner. The level of service from the business services team was superb, even paying attention to when we took breaks to ensure that a meal was shifted if needed. I would love to replicate this property and what they are doing in other locations!”

Gorse Hill Hotel
● Open“I was extremely impressed at the staff at the Gorse Hill Hotel. We had a late drink at the bar and they were so accommodating and incredibly friendly. The bartender in particular was such a warm personality and we did catch him laughing at some parts of our conversation, he definitely contributed to how good our stay was! The hotel is split into different buildings and the outdoor area is beautiful and well-maintained. The room was good, nothing special but it had a comfy bed and was a clean room. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.”

Richmond Hill Hotel
● Open“Very nice hotel, not too far from Kew Gardens and Richmond town centre. Up on the hill with some great views this place. Key highlights for me, we wanted to park for two nights as we were staying for a wedding and they only charged for one and gave the second day as complimentary. Also my partner forgot her mascara and the lady at the front desk was very helpful in letting her borrow hers! Not a service they normally offer I’m sure, but great of her to provide this. Beyond this, the beds were comfy, very cleanly and it was not noisy at all.”

Hampton by Hilton London Park Royal
● Open“Just wanted to share our absolutely awesome experience here recently at the Hampton by Hilton London Park Royal. My wife and I decided to travel to the UK and France for our 10 year anniversary and we brought our kids with us. I ended up getting 2 rooms for us so we weren't as cramped. Let me just say that this hotel exceeded my expectations! It was bright, colorful, clean, safe, the rooms were very clean and functional, breakfast was outstanding. All the staff were incredible and it was right next to a Tube station which was great to get to downtown London easily from. They also had an in-house restaurant which was quite decent and we used it multiple nights when we were just too tired to venture out again. Everything about this stay was great, especially the staff, even down to the maintenance guy who came to fix our breaker in our room when we blew the fuse plugging in a shoddy UK to U.S. power converter lol. Shout-out to Kat & Sarah I believe their names were, front desk manager and server who were super friendly and gave excellent service. Whatever they are getting paid they need to get that doubled because I have never seen employees juggle so many customers like that all while maintaining the same level of service with a smile on their faces. I am a well traveled Hilton Diamond member and this stay absolutely made our vacation and my wife and kids are still talking about it to this day almost a week after we got back to the USA. My ONLY gripes (and this is being nit-picky) was I wish on-site parking garage pricing was a little cheaper (granted there is nearby street parking but with all our luggage I didn't want the extra hassle), I wish there were able to accommodate having our rooms next to each other even though I requested this online months in advance AND called the week of but we still ended up separated by a few rooms. At least we were on the same floor though. Also, I wish they had a little bit softer mattresses. That was our only complaint about the rooms; the mattresses were a bit on the hard side (but this seems to be a common theme in Europe vs the USA), the times we've been abroad most places in Europe have harder beds than what we are used to in the U.S. and this made it difficult to sleep; I feel like a simple mattress topper would do wonders in this department) Other than that, it was an excellent stay and we will absolutely be staying here again whenever we visit London! You'd be doing your self a disservice staying anywhere else for the value you get at this well run hotel!”
