“A warm and friendly pub with exceptionally nice staff (even to the point where the manager has checked that I am getting home all right - I was very touched), the Essex Arms is also notable for its monthly karaoke nights. The host, Gary Pryce, is a true professional, getting as many singers on as humanly possible, while giving supportive encouragement to anyone who has felt a bit nervous. Come on down and join the fun!”

“Situated on the main high street. A Wetetherspoons, an absolutely super range of lager, real ales and various other drinks on offer, the prices for selected ales can be as low as £2.50 a pint. There's an ample breakfast menu at very affordable prices. There is also a wide of main meals available and it seemed a daily special at lunchtime. To me, this establishment offered very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Brentwood.”

“Under new Ownership and Despite other negative reviews I have only ever experienced very friendly customer service. I usually collect as live close by but the guys knowing I could not get out due to my son being asleep were willing to deliver using there collection only offer which was a lovely gesture. We usually go for the thin based Pizzas and they are really good. Nice balance between dough, sauce and toppings, not too heavy. Overall this is a fantastic value pizza.”

Forget Harley Street.....Essex has its own Harley Street practice at Devonshire house.I had many years with awful teeth due to an accident in my teens.I literally didn't smile for 10 years and was super shy.With my treatment and smile make over Dr Aria Malek-Mohammadi has completely restored my confidence and has made my smile beautiful again.Aswell as transforming my smile the service from all the team was professional and friendly too.I suggest you pay Devonshire House a visit if you want to transform your smile and have a great experience along the way.”

“Have food from here on a regular basis and has always been very nice. Very friendly delivery drivers as well. Last week I ordered online delivery and when delivered was one item short. That is not my complaint as things like this happen now and again. I rang and explained. Without hesitation or questioning, the young man promised to deliver the missing item asap and within 25 minutes I had the remaining dish. Excellent customer service (and food). Happy to recommend.”
