Food events in London

“This is definitely one of my favourite pubs in the Wimbledon area, it’s so nice in the summer months and nice and cozy inside in the winter. Being part of the Youngs pubs in the area I’m surprised they have so many, and they survive, but I’m glad to say they are surviving. They always have a nice selection of beers, today we had a proper local ale the “Wimbledon Brewery Pale Ale” which is such a great local brewery. They had a nice warm fire burning, but due to our timing we needed to sit out side and they have a great out door area. I can’t comment on what the food is like at present, but historically I have always felt satisfied, but like all the youngs pubs in the area, especially compared to my locals it is slightly punchy. For example 3 beers and a pint of Diet Coke came to £21 I’ve included a picture of the toilets as a lot can be said about a pubs toilets, and these were nice and clean and well maintained. Our only gripe is that the glasses were a little dirty, it looked like the dishwasher filter needed changing. Not enough to complain about and embarrass ourselves. It looked like lemon or lime fragments, which I’m not so precious I had to take my pint back and complain about.”

“Nice friendly bar, clean and warm. Bar man is nice and whilst they don't serve food, you can order and eat in the place, no problem”

“Great local shop for all you home needs. Unlike many other local shops, this is a large, smart and modern place,(Recently refurbished.) Extremely good and fresh vegetables, a massive selection of other goods. And a plethora of organic items. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and although the prices can be a bit on the expensive side, they are to be expected in NW11. Open late, I think everyday of the year. It is a cornerstone of the local community.They always go the extra mile where possible. X”

“A really good range of products, there is especially a good choice of cheese, fruits and vegetables. Their cheese vault is an amazing place for cheese lovers. You can get there marinated or smoked fish for a good price.”

“Great customer service & good pricing products.. I have been shopping from the off-Licence for a very long time and the products are absolutely in good condition and very satisfying. Owner is such a gentleman & staff is very friendly. Local shop, easy access on the main road and you could definitely find what ever you need.. No need to drive up to Tesco or Asda for big grocery shopping.”

“An informative and enjoyable museum full of London’s rich history of transportation. It took a little over an hour to go through everything and it was great. They have some actual historical vehicles in the museum and you really gain an appreciation for the evolution of how we got to where we are today. The staff was also great, with the lady making sure we only bought the cheaper ticket relevant to tourists.”

“Found this gem just by a chance last Monday. Was not really hungry so we thought just order 2 dishes and 3 of us could share but when they said their roti canai were freshly made not the frozen ones, we gave in. We ordered banana leaves w mutton, nasi lemak beef rendang & roti canai w chicken curry. OMG the mutton curry was out of this world! Just like mom’s cooking! And a big shoutout to the beef rendang! Hit all the spots. We can taste the TLC in that beef rendang! Feel like raya ok! Enough said. Roti + chicken curry didnt disappoint as well. We were happy campers! Keep up the good work guys. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re London! Or a branch in Birmingham perhaps? We totally had our epic ‘Le Festin’ moments that day. Thanks for the such lovely food!”

“Wonderful Korean restaurant, great quality ingredients, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. We ordered BBQ set menu, a hot pot and fried chicken which was enough for us to share, it felt like the authentic experience - if you're a fan of Korean dramas on Netflix you won't be disappointed! A few doors away is a Korean convenience store where some Japanese products also available.”

“I visited in Jan as a treat because my friend was moving out of London and wanted to try this. This review is well overdue. I don't want to say too much that might ruin the experience but we had a fantastic time. Loseing your sense of sight for the meal allows all your other senses to come alive. I'm usually a slow eater and my partner is the fast eater but in the dark our behaviour totally changed, I became the quick eater!. You get a choice of veg, meat or fish menu and you have no idea what will turn up on the plate, so try to order from the same menu so that you guys can try to guess what you're all eating!. The food tasted delicious, the wine pairings and cocktail were excellent too. Our host Ghow was fantastic! As was the lady downstairs who gave us a lovely momento book and a complimentary cocktail downstairs. I can't rave about this place enough, a worthwhile business employing differently abled people, excellent food and excellent service. These types of places make dinning out a pleasure and memorable experience!”

“The one on Ruskin Parade us closed. Perhaps s change of name or shut for good. There's another one on London Road with the same name. There's Terra House, a Romanian shop and bakery on Brighton Road on the left hand side as we face the North before the Bridge and Nuevo Ponte Restaurant.”

“Visited on the last day of Pokemon Worlds and never regretted it! I love how spacious the area is and many activities are being held simultaneously in different rooms and you can spend hours and hours just exploring the whole event and not get bored. There were lots of cafes and restaurants where you can dine in and eat plus seating areas where you can just rest and relax. They should definitely bring back this event next year!”
