Reviews
"Should be a rating of 5 but for something out of the museums control and possibly unfair of me. Firstly it is a great museum, it isn't just about buses and trains. It tells the story of the development and social history of London. It is modern, with interesting exhibitions and a first class cafe. Known as the Canteen, it is reasonably priced for Central London, with a good menu and staff. Now to my gripe. Why do parents take babies and toddlers to such places. They are too young to appreciate or enjoy it. There were crying and screaming young children everywhere. Unpopular opinion I know but I've said it."
"Nice museum, very child-friendly! It's a great opportunity to take a trip through epochs from horse-driven omnibus to the tube. A lot of interactive installations don't make your child bored. The ticket is valid for a year so we will visit it again! Consider buying tickets in advance as you may spend quite a lot of time in the queue."
"An informative and enjoyable museum full of London’s rich history of transportation. It took a little over an hour to go through everything and it was great. They have some actual historical vehicles in the museum and you really gain an appreciation for the evolution of how we got to where we are today. The staff was also great, with the lady making sure we only bought the cheaper ticket relevant to tourists."
"A family friendly museum that will entertain and occupy little ones for hours. You only pay for adults - and the fee is reasonable. There is so much to see and do inside. Much of it is interactive, and all of it is informative and entertaining, from the old horse drawn trans to the first Underground trains and modern trains and buses. Kids (and grown-ups) can climb on and have a go at being a driver, explore the city’s history, and generally have a great old time."
"I visited after doing some of the hidden London tours which get you a discount entry to the museum. I have been before but a while ago. Whilst obviously a lot of things would still be the same there were bits that were new to me. This is a great museum with so much to see and quite a lot of things that you can go into and other things that you can do like simulators and things with buttons and proper working traffic lights."
