“My wife and I regularly come here and have got to know the managment and staff. The atmosphere is welcoming the staff are professional and the food is delicious. The chefs know their craft and it shows. A good restraunt for gluten Free diets as they have an entire menu dedicated to it. Special mention to the manager Aleksandra who always makes us feel welcome when we visit.”

“Just finished our two pizzas and they were absolutely delicious. I lived in Sicily for 17 years and this is the most authentic pizza I have had in the UK. The Italian sausage was amazing. Both the pizzas got a thumbs up from my Sicilian husband. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the pizzaiolo from Palermo!”

“Came across this cafe while in leatherhead yesterday. A little gem. Great value and a nice selection of panini’s, wraps and cakes. Lovely tasty panini’s, delicious coffee and exceptional service. A really friendly chap who is warm and welcoming and greets his regulars like old friends and newbies like us as new friends. Would highly recommend”

“Had a really lovely lunch here yesterday, the new fit out is beautifully done, with a lovely Bar & Garden area, along with a nice relaxed dining area. The new menu is delicious we had a quick lunch with my friend having the Fish Finger Sandwich & I had a perfectly cooked Wagyu Bavette. Wishing the new team all the best for their new opening & I am sure it will be a success.”

“Really really really nice chicken and rib combo. Had the garlic and her dough balls to start also and they were nice. Was disappointed with the apple crumble as there wasn't much apple, and the crumble was a bit well done. Lovely outdoor seating area at both front and back. Little booth/huts which have heaters and plastic zip down covers also. Will definitely return! Had the same main meal again today and still great! Service was a bit slow but was quite busy.”

“Superb. Lovely welcome, fabulous food from starter to sweet. 50% off Steak Night a real bonus. We dined early but there was no awkwardness of, at first, being the only people in there. Soon the place was buzzing, including a Scout group creating their own pizzas outside. Great community inclusion. Altogether more than 10/10. We don't live close which is a good thing....we'd be there far too often! However we will return, too good to miss.”

“We booked a meal for 40 of us after getting married in Leatherhead earlier that day. We could not have had a better time or service from the team at the Penny Black - the communication with the manager ahead of time was helpful and quick, we were able to drop cakes and decorations etc off in the morning and the pre-ordered drinks were ready for our arrival. The team on that day were friendly and available for whatever we needed. HUGE thank you to the kitchen team who managed to get out 40 pre-ordered meals at the same time and all hot. This is not just your average pub - 5* 10/10 recommendation. The manager on shift that day said they didn't really do bigger groups or weddings that often but if you are reading this and looking to book a party or bigger group event in Leatherhead - Penny Black is where you need to go.”
