“Cote - Sloan Square was the perfect choice for a pre-concert dinner. I arrived about 20 minutes before my reservation time and I was warmly greeted and seated. I have a food allergy so a manager stopped by the table to ensure that my needs would be cared for. The ambience and decor of this restaurant are very nice, bustling but in a quiet elegant way. I began with a kir royale. I then ordered from the prix fixe menu, selecting the salmon rillettes for my starter. The texture and flavours of this dish were very appealing. I loved the little cornichons and fresh dill. My main course was the pan seared sea bass topped with a fragrant pistou, which was absolutely delicious. My dinner was so enjoyable, and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.”

“Visited for my mine and my partners anniversary this evening and it was amazing! Upon arrival we were greeted with a happy and lovely manner. The gentleman who seated us (I believe he was the manager) was so welcoming and wished us a happy anniversary. As we got to the table there was a lovely card wishing us again a happy anniversary which was so nice, as they did not have to do that and it meant a lot to us. Once we were sat, a lovely young lady came to take our orders and she was very sweet and so attentive. Our food came swiftly and tasted delicious, I definitely recommend the homemade sausage roll for a starter. My partner had the whitebait which was huge! Overall would definitely recommend the black horse as everything was perfect :)”

We were well impressed by the presentation, speed and most importantly taste 10/10. Well worth a visit. PS. I tried an IPA from the barrel. Spot on!”

“Lovely Christmas meal with my son and his girlfriend. The food was piping hot, and the waitress service was spot on. The only thing that I didn't like was how cold the toilets were.... the hand washing water was icy cold, and the drier was blowing out even colder air! Apart from that, it was a lovely Christmasy afternoon, and we will definitely be going back”

Highly recommend the pork carnitas quesadillas and the haddock tacos as well as the cocktails. Great service from friendly staff. Great vibe as well. 10/10 would recommend for dinner. “Nice big wetherspoons which is due to close soon apparently. Haven't been here for about 20 years and I must say, things have improved a great deal- thank goodness. The staff were polite and friendly- I think everyone I saw was smiling. There was a good crowd in but the service did not suffer. My wrap and chips for lunch were lovely and the Guinness was excellent. I'm sure this pub will be missed”

“We had a wonderful time here tonight, they were very accommodating and even though the main manager was off duty he still was able to put up a good conversation with a drunken (but not too drunk) customer. Also special shout out to the tall skinny guy with black hair in the Guiness shirt whose name I didn't catch but I'm sure the staff will know who I'm on about. I was part of a large group and they all helped to make our evening wonderful. Can't wait to go there again!”

From the management team who made sure our plans were carried out perfectly, to our own personal bar staff who tended our every need. “Walked in for afternoon tea today and had a great experience! The waiters were all very friendly and the food was excellent, especially the BLT sandwiches and the clotted cream. The Alice in Wonderland theme was very entertaining and you get to try all the teas as well as order more items. I have not tried other afternoon tea places in London but I recommend giving this place a try!”
