Alexanders of London
“Beautifully finished, made to measure clothing. Good attention to detail.”
Barker Shoes
“I read the other reviews here and feared the worst. In the end I was served by an extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgable and very personable Italian woman who made me feel as if she actually wanted to help and was there to make sure you got something you really wanted, as opposed to just getting your money and hope you leave as quickly as possible. I’ve visited 3 branches in total and all of them have negative feedback, but I’ve never had anything too bad, after the experience here, if I never read reviews I would have thought Barker sales people were amongst the best. I guess it’s more a fact that it’s down to the random person you happen to get served by. Some people might be rude and some aren’t, if you’re planning on visiting a branch of Barker shoes don’t go by reviews, go in and decide for yourself if you thought the service was good or bad. For me the service was amongst the best I’ve received in any store and what I’d expect from a high end store and I hope it is for you when you visit.”
Barker Shoes Bow Lane
“Impressed with the staff, both at this location and the Regent St store. Staff seemed knowledgeable about shoe construction and was able to advise on good fit and care, without being in any way overbearing or pushing for a sale. Very professional, especially compared to other shoe stores in the same price range. Helped us feel at ease about what was (for us) a pricey purchase.”
IKKS PARIS FLAGSHIP STORE
“A small paradise in London Soho. I really miss these kind of shops where you can take a moment to look and find amazing pieces. Everything was so organized and displayed with a strong passion to detail that I could spend hours there. The staff was very kind and they made feel at home. Very good taste and styling skills! IKKS - It Keeps Knocking Souls”
Dakoda's Dance Academy
“I transported Rob, Stefan and students from Dakoda's Dance Academy to a dance competition. They were a delight to serve, very polite, punctual and the students were extremely well disciplined. I would be very happy to work with you again!!”
Whistles

Boggi Milano
“A big thank you to Anjala for the magnificent service given during my recent visit! She is so well spoken, welcoming, polite, knowledgeable, hard working and her client care is beyond expectation! I left the store with such nice products which I did not notice but from her questioning she recommended such choices which were so suitable to me. If going to the store I recommend getting her help as it is so worth it! Anjala, you are so good at what you do! Thank you also to Eleonora; Manager, for your help and taking the time to come and introduce yourself! You were so helpful too!”
Rodd & Gunn UK Limited
“Very happy with the four MERRICK BAY KNIT JUMPERS and denim shirt I ordered online. Quality superb. Friendly staff too when I visited store in London, Regent Street. First order was SUPER fast- maybe next day. Second order took longer than usual- about 5/6 days. But this is because of higher than normal sales during Dec/Jan time. Online customer service respond fast. Only downside is products arrive in plastic packaging NOT a box like other big brands, I.e BOSS, Ralph Lauren etc”
Hobbs
“Yes it's expensive. But the quality and experience is exceptional. Staff happy to help and find and assist choice. Even offered me incentive -10-15% off- to buy a 2nd dress! Can't fault their professionalism and skill.”
Joseph Cheaney & Sons
“Nice selection of British made shoes for any occasion. Very friendly, supportive and knowledgeable staff who are always keen on helping to choose the right shoes”
Gaziano Girling
“Certainly one of the best shoe makers in the world. I currently have a collection of eight pairs of G&G in a range of colours from vintage rioja, chestnut, cherry, black, vintage oak, midnight blue and mole suede. Quality of the shoes are fantastic; an absolute joy to wear and maintain (they take on polish very well). The sales people in the shop are very friendly and offer a lot of advice about shoes. Even happy to chat about all things sartorial too. I have also taken in shoes back to the store to be resoled and refurbished to come back 'as new' (impressive service). Beautiful shop and good to see the bespoke models on permanent display.”
Sabah
“I ordered online on a couple of occasions and only recently after Brexit. Since I live in Italy, I was a bit worried about the shipment process and the customs duties etc, but the process was very smooth and easy because people at Sabah House are super helpful. The shoes are beautiful but this is not a novelty since I had already bought a pair from their New York Studio. A special thank you to Melissa, who is always very helpful and super nice!”
Heroes Of Richmond
“Funky little shop just off the Green in Richmond. Had a question and they responded right away on FB Messenger. Lots of cool hats and shirts for gents and what I went in for, Bellroy wallets.”
Base
“A very kind and welcoming shop! The staff are always very helpful and always give the best advice. They also can help you by ordering things in that the shop don’t stock”
Manolo Blahnik
“I walk pass this shop often and manage to shop in twice, the staff is lovely, I have to admit I was expecting them to be snobs but they are just nice. The shoes are, pricey, the design is amazing, they have some plain shoes too, but I do not see the point to buy those there. I already wear both pairs of shoes, dance in it, walk in it, stand in it, and they are, incredible comfortable for high hills!”
Crockett & Jones, 92 Jermyn Street
“The only shoemaker I've found that knows more about footwear other than the shoes. Especially aftercare, they managed to find my exact shoe polish and brush kit that even church shoes didn't know much about.”
