“Popped in for a quick lunch on a freezing Friday. Only one member of staff behind the bar and ferrying food, but she did a brilliant job and was extremely friendly. Food was surprisingly good and while not 'cheap', I think it was worth it. Not busy for a Friday lunch, which is a little worrying. I hope to visit again soon.”

“Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Greyhound Pub. The staff was super friendly, ordering via their app in January gives you a £10 off the bill, which is a bonus. Had the vegetarian burger and it was delicious, we cleaned the plate! Chips were cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend it and it’s dog friendly too, so if you have a furry friend, you can take him/her with you.”

“Went in for Sunday lunch today since re-opening with new owners. They are still settling in however the staff are friendly and the food was very good, a proper Sunday pub lunch…half a (large) chicken, crispy roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, carrots, puréed squash, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. “I was there with my husband and few friends during a pub quiz night. The atmosphere and the event were spot on. The selection of drinks and beers very interesting and the service super attentive, in particular Nico made our evening very special with his brilliant recommendation on food and drinks. “Love this pub and have gone regularly for years; service has been hit or miss recently (where hasn’t it been, tbf). But last night’s dinner was wonderful: want to shout out particularly excellent service from Taylor and Gemma. Absolutely flawless from start to finish, on a busy Friday night. “I recently visited this establishment with my Aunt, we went to celebrate my birthday. We had lunch in the garden and were so impressed by the whole place. We spoke at length to the landlady, her and her staff were so accommodating. My Aunt & I are both disabled and everything is usually ordered at the bar, however we were given exclusive table service without question. The food was delicious and great quality and all the pub regulars were friendly, polite and really respectful. Ye Old Ship & it's staff are a wonderful edition to the village. Thank you”
