"Four of us went today for Sunday lunch. When I walked in, I thought it was Battersea Dogs’ Home. I’m a real dog lover but the smell was so off-putting. I asked for a fresh air spray to be sprayed on the floor where a dog had previously been sitting at my table ,but was declined. Although the food was good, and I know it’s a dog friendly pub, I’ll never go back to eat there for Sunday lunch or anytime in the evening unless you want to believe you’re sitting in a kennel with the smell!"

"Neat little pub tucked away next to Epping forest in a very calm setting. Very interesting decor and friendly service. Check their website to avoid the few hours each afternoon when kitchen is closed. Food was delicious with great range of daily specials on top of standard menu."
